I believe I just took one of your standard throwing sponges (the kind that comes into the good old starter kits) and cut them in half and then on each half I cut in a little pocket, then sqwished it around the tops and used a rubber band to secure it. Though I think Giffen now sells little mittens too!

Oh also, it helps to use a sharpie and mark which side is “out” on the sponge. Hope that makes sense!
