They must have known/been friends with the bio parents. I don't get this story, If they could afford to leave their bio child a million dollars, they probably could have afforded to raise him. If they gave him away because they didn't want a kid, it seems strange they would leave him an inheritance, when after giving him up, they were no longer obligated to him.

I thought he had been orphaned. That would explain the inheritance. His adopted parents most realized what he was worth before adopting him…perhaps?

@@PossumLady8262 I didn't think of that. You may be right. I didn't get the impression he was orphaned, maybe because he said the adoptive parents chose him has a little guy. But it didn't occur to me he may have been orphaned.
