Really interesting. Just bought a Cube with the rather disappointing Purion. Thanks for swaying me towards a Nyon. Greetings from the land of the great British pounds!
When I first upgraded from the Kiox to the Nyon I wasn't impressed, but after more then a year of use, I love it. Love the info if gives, the mileage is always dead on. The maps are great. My only complaint is that the software feels a bit sluggish sometimes, and and I wish Bosch and Garmin would get it together and sync with each other, like Bosch and Apple watch. When I do 50 miles rides on my bosch motor every weekend my usage is mostly around 55 to 60 percent me and 40 to 45 percent the motor, with about 95 percent eco mode. I've lost 30 pounds last 5 months and my riding fitness has returned. Bosch powered ebikes are a game changer for me personally. Its my car, my RV, and my fitness rider all in one.
I have just upgraded to the Nyon while I like most things about the display the map routing if left to the Nyon solely is a disaster, I asked it to take me home from 15 miles away it has no concept of following any recognizable effcient routing and constanly recalculates to find its way around. Yes you can download routes and that's the only way it should be used unless Bosch gets their act together and that won't happen any time soon....
@@Electricbikesbrisbane I agree.....the colour scheme could easily be improved on navigation as all other screens have a good contrast. Customers have a greater expectation than I suggest Bosch have managed so far with the Nyon!
@@Adventures4vida I like the Nyon display and use it only for downloaded Komoot routes, this prevents the Bosch navigation interference! :) As a backup I have Kommot on the phone plus a Garmin Edge.
Can you still shift through the gears with the electronic lock and the nyon removed? How difficult is it to get up to speed with no assistance? Which gear do you recommend parking your bike in? Thanks
the lock is definitely worth it, even if someone gets your bike it will be worthless to them. Plus its an easy feature to switch if you get a new bosch motor bike.

My pleasure!
Well Done Josh, I set up my Nyon Display including extra screens on day 1 & love all of the features
Thanks Murray. There is a lot available with it, isn't there! 🙏

Wow. Good on you! What a great testimony to just how good Bosch ebikes are for us too 👏 Happy riding 😊
After the latest update navigation does not work. "Message not in your area", the main feature this display... navigation does not work
Does anyone know how wide the standard mounting brackets is for your handlebars?

Sorry to hear that Pete. We haven't had the same personal experience luckily but it'll be great for everyone if they keep improving the navs

yea I like maps, but ive always pre downloaded my routes on my phone, Ive never used it for actually off the cuff navigation.

@@peteturner8493 Yea i use Komoot as well with my nyon.
Pity there’s no charging port for your phone
Hi Josh! Great video! Question: can you mount this on a Fiido M3 (aka M1pro/M22)? Really like this display and just wondering if its compatible.
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry, am not familiar with the Fildo.

It's a no for the first question. For the next two though it depends on you so you will need to ride it 👍
