Gday I have been watching all your videos and I just wanted to say I really enjoy all of them. You 2 both have so much charisma and are down to earth and very entertaining.Keep up the good work and keep the camera rolling.
Thankyou Scott for your kind words. As we say we're only Bec & Matt, very amateurish but we are who we are. No frills and just a average couple who like to travel on a budget, well Matt does haha. Thanks for your support.
We love Bali and the friendly stray dogs!🐶, Thank you for your kind words Cheryl. Can not keep us away from Bali for too long haha. Thanks for feedback.
Try IBAB BALI (smoked ribs & pork belly sambal matah). I think they have the best pork & sambal matah. It's a hidden gem also, tucked in Dewi Sri street. I can't recall exactly, I think it's next to kitchen supplies shop AsKitchen.
Have been to Bali over 10 times and looking forward to early March next year for our next visit. Have been watching your videos and plan to visit a few of the places in your videos, have always stuck to the tourist cafes/restaurants and it seems we have been missing out. Planing on going to several of the warungs on your recommendations.
You will be pleasantly surprised by the local warungs, the food is amazing! Be sure to keep in touch and tell us what was good and if any a disappointment. That's why we do these food reviews to give people the confidence to come and try them. Be sure to let us know what you liked or didn't like and hopefully we can show you some more before you go. Thanks for feedback
@@BecMattAdventures All went well, Kuta was a bit quiet but we still enjoyed it. The Segara at Candidasa was great, thanks for the recommendations Candidasa was quiet but we would go back there. My only complaint was the lack cold beer. It seemed every place had warm beer and we had to ask for ice. Then we had 8 days in Sanur at the Prama Hotel. We had a few problems getting a room that was suitable. It took 4 rooms before we had one that had a decent Air Con that didn't leak, and a bathroom that didn't flood! But hey it all worked out in the end. So after all of that we have decided that Candidasa and Sanur would be our places of choice for longer stays. Hopefully in a few years we will settle in Sanur for a "fly in fly out" style of retirement. Your Channel has helped so much in our travels.
That's awesome to hear, Sadly we are not much of Beer drinkers and could not point you in the right direction for a coldie. Not a expert in Sanur, Sad to hear on Prama but you do get that. We did spend a few days there and will feature in coming videos of Sanur. For us we liked Sanur but thought the waterfront was very disappointing compared to Kuta/Legian/Seminyak but we all have different requirements. Glad we could be of use.
Love folowing you guys Try Warung Big Boss opposite Puri Saron Hotel Fabulous food Lovely staff A regular for us Breakfasts are amazing and well priced
Awesome James, We will be sure to check it out, We love a good recommendation and will give it a go. Wont be till 2025 but we will get there. Thanks for the tip. Thanks for feedback.
Fellow Brisbane folk here 😜We got Bali belly in Sanur last year and everyone said it would be a salad - how do you go with salad and stuff? Going back in March 25, to Legian, don’t want to get caught again 😂😂😂
30 or so times , Never had a issue for us. Highly doubt it was the salad. We do recommend sanitizing before you eat but so far we have never had a issue and as by some of our videos, You would know they don't look safe to eat. So maybe we have been lucky but Myself had many salads in Bali and never been a issue but we are very over protective in cleaning our hands before we eat. Saying that it could be a million things, Stay to our recommendations and you be right :D Nothing worse than getting crook. Thanks for feedback. Good to see more Brissy viewers too :D
Sadly not Fiona, Back in oz and back at that dreaded word called work haha. We don't head back till 2025. Have a great holiday and be sure to let us know if anything worth us reviewing. If we can be of help be sure to reach out. Thanks for feedback.
Sorry Bec this time I have to agree with Matty on the price of the breakfast in Seminyak seems a bit over the top. But then again everything in Seminyak is. Warung looked great though 25k Bintangs 👌
Matt needs all the help he can get haha, Lovely food, not the cheapest but quality was excellent. We love the warungs, Can not beat them. Thanks for feedback
I'll be in Seminyak in February- when dining in a restaurant, should I tip? If so, do I tip on the amount, like in the United States? Typically here we tip 15-20 percent of total bill? Just wondering what the tipping culture is like there
If you get good service we tip, Depending on the bill if the bill is say $320k we will pay 350K so on average might tip $1 to $3 dollars USD or 1 to 4 dollars AUD, We usually just round up. Saying that pay what your comfortable with and we like to pay the server serving us so they get it. As a rule you don't have to tip but a few dollars go along way. Hope this helps.
@@BecMattAdventures Thanks- thats a big help. I wasn't sure how to handle that with spa attendants, servers,, taxi drivers, etc. I'll just round up after getting the check. US and Mexico are different stories- you can't walk across a room without someone expecting to be tipped, its completely out of control.
We will keep that in mind for future videos. Ill tell Matt to adjust. Thanks for feedback. Just spoke to Matt, Was it last part of the video at Corner Bar, If it was Matt had to make sound to drown the sound coming from the place, Due to copyright issues, But will take your advice on board
