- I created a replay system for Valorant as proof of concept. I also made my friends try an obstacle course I made using some of the mechanics I made.

Everyone in valorant wants a repay system so bad but they don’t realise how much a replay system fucked up Fortnite’s servers. The part where he explains about how if it fails is every Fortnite game getting shot through walls and stuff. Imagine dying in valorant and a guy didn’t even peak on your screen.
cs has replays with no server lag

Nah fn jus added so much shit to the game w a new poorly optimized engine and the servers cant handle it
Also fn is a game w 100 players and a big ass map w building and editing and breaking where as in val is jus 10 ppl w way smaller maps

U need to make an obstacle cpurse with other agent abilities now!!!! Maybe you could do something where you throw viper smokes or harbor smokes you could and float in them to maneuver around for example
I have seen like 2 other videos of recreating valorant to incorporate the replay system...and this video is just better than both of them.
imo its because the game turned out to be basically not valorant lol
I never really thought the vulnerability aspect of a replay system in Valorant. I can kinda see why they won’t add it now.
A potential ‘fix’ without major vulnerabilities is having each client record their own actions and abilities, then at the end of the game, all clients send that data over to the other clients and “combine” them all. A problem though is a cheater can manipulate their own data and send it over, though a few sanity checks will ensure all they can do is mess with their own players actions, nothing harmful.
