Sir, in the case of BF3, we know that back bonding happens where fluorine donates into the vacant p orbital of boron, so according to the definition only those cases wherein the donation happens into the d orbital are termed as non classical, but then what about those where it happens through p orbital, they also cannot be termed as classical bcoz there's still back bonding happening.
The distinction between classical and non-classical bonding isn't strictly about the presence or absence of back bonding but more about the type of orbitals involved. In classical bonding, such as the typical single, double, or triple bonds, electron sharing occurs through direct orbital overlap (usually involving s and p orbitals). In non-classical bonding, more complex interactions involving d orbitals or even higher orbitals can be observed, often in heavier elements or transition metals. In BF₃, the back bonding involving the p orbital of boron and the p orbitals of fluorine is indeed significant. While this form of back bonding doesn't involve d orbitals and therefore doesn't fit the non-classical definition in that specific sense, it's not considered "classical" in the traditional single-bond sense either
Sir a doubt do pi acceptor pi donating ligands form pi or sigma bond while donating electron density if so will they contribute in coordination no.(only sigma)
In second case( Pi acceptor and Pi donor) they do not have lone pair to donate so they cannot acts as lewis base, where as in the first case they have lone pair to donate and hence according to definition they can acts as Lewis base.

Classical ligand is something new for me
Bro r u in 12th or 11th

I liked the video
At 11:55 why type 2 non classical ligands cannot be called lewis bases??while type 1 non classical ligands r lewis bases??
