I bought timetechno 160, bel 130, gppl 195, rpglife 1300, lauruslab 360, suzlon 38,bpcl, pricolltd 136, asterdm 342,kirloseng 541, fsl 200 in this recent 6 to 8 months and sold them... As soon as my order executed stock started to fly.... All this were due to impatience... I thought to hold for atleast 1 to 2 years... Would have given solid returns in such a less duration due to all time high markets...

3-5 years is a reasonable period. Sometimes 3-5 years can get extended to 6-8 years due to stock not moving due to lack of big funds investing in the stock. If you are thinking 10 years, it means you have bought a useless company's stock and you are averaging down. In 10 years, Satyam Computers went from money maker to money destroyer.
