That answer you gave regarding people not playing fantasy just because GW ended support is so true, anyone complaining about it STILL after this long are probably the same ones who would have never played it in the first place.
My older brother got me into the hobby too. We played a little game with two squads of his skitarii (but we let each model move independently) and I was instantly in love. At first I thought Imperial Guard were space losers, that is until I actually looked into them more and then I picked them as my first army. I'm very glad my brother coerced me, because this hobby is great.
I love your take on playing old GW games. I originally got into the hobby by playing Mordheim with some friends... but only seven years ago. We make our own rules and warbands and campaigns and models and it’s the most fun I have playing any game in the hobby!
As someone whos not really interested in playing Warhammer but loves the lore and models, you make it very accessible and super enjoyable. Maybe I'll start an army next year. Cheers!
almost 90k now. You deserve every single one. Excellent videos that always get my creative juices flowing with great energy, content and editing. Here's to the next milestone!
Watching you evolve a pile of random parts from different sources into seriously fun characters was a joy to behold. And the carefree nature of your painting and detailing opens up a level of the process that maybe some people are intimidated by in other videos. It can be fun, experimental, no rules! Whatever might work! Try it and find out. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks!
I know its 2 weeks since this video was posted, but just thought id tell you. I needed your videos and your personality today. So thank you for existing.
Jumped on board with the miscast terrain videos when I was building terrain from Bunning's supplies. I'm so stoked you hit 70/80K (90K soon) subscribers. Your open attitude to the hobby has helped shaped the outlook of so many key figures in the TH-cam hobby realm, which in turn has had a positive influence on such a wide audience. Nicely done, champion. Good vibes create positive ripples.
Amazing to think that by the time this video is 1 year old, you might have hit twice that amount of followers. It's always awesome to see what you're doing here, Trent.
This channel (along with others like Miniac and Goobertown) have been huge inspirations for me. It's the kick in the butt I've needed to work on projects. I'm currently making a Necron army for my kid along with a huge kit bash conversion Shining Spears for my space elves. All thanks to these awesome vids!
"If you aren't playing it you aren't trying hard enough" - amen to that! I think there a lot more people moaning about not being "allowed" to play WFB than are actually getting out their miniatures and playing. Which is kind of why it died in the first place anyway... Great video as well!
I actually love the way you see and practice this hobby. It's a cool way for me to stay connected to the miniatures, crafting etc while my studies prevent me from practicing it. Plus your vids are currently my favorite pratices of english (i'm french) cause i really enjoy your voice and your speech. So keep going and thx for all that ! :)
I have never played War hammer or any other table top games. I know little to nothing about the franchise. Despite all of this I have become obsessed with your videos. It’s inspiring to start a new hobby!
Awesome stuff Trent, it wasn't really that long ago when you told me about your channel and it has doubled in viewers since then. I'm glad to be one of them.
Forgot how I even found you, but man I've been around since like your 10th vid when I think you only had a few thousand subs, so worth. Love watching your work and watching this channel grow!
I freaking love your creativity and lack of boundaries, it is so freeing, hearing you talk about Tzeentch next I though I would share my plans inspired by your work. It is Cosmic/Body horror Tzeentch inspired by my favourite films like John Carpenter's The Thing, The void, etc where I will be using cold porcelain to sculpt and craft almost everything, lots of spider appendages, burst open bodies with weird proportions where the original race has been twisted horrifically by the warp. I am pretty bad at sculpting but practice and a project like this will help me to level up my sculpting and get me through the ups and downs because I have so much passion for it. Please feel free to use these ideas if it inspires you unless you already are going in that kind of direction, whatever I cannot wait to see YOUR awesome spin on another chaos god!!! Thanks so much dude, you are truly awesome and an inspiration and your videos have got me through tough days, Merry Christmas!
Congrats on 70k and 80k, this was so much fun to watch. All your projects look so sweet, and it was nice to learn more about the artist. Thanks for the video!
Fantastic as always! Reaper bones is great for the price, I totally agree with the advice on that (Though a lot of people are loyal to GW). Also, that little elephant rider figure you are piecing together is great.
happy 80k! I found this channel near the start of this September, right when I was first discovering warhammer! These videos have really helped me stay sane while doing university, I've almost watched every single one! I still don't have access to paints until later this month, but your channel has been a great source of inspiration to me! I'll definitely have some fun with these first few minis that I've bought, and I can definitely credit some of that to you!
This community is rad! I'm new to this hobby and all the talent seems to support challenge and advance while teaching.... Sooooooo dope! That elephant is Chaos Dali beautiful
I love your content it is phenomenal your nurgle army is simple a work of art and has motivated me to work on my orks not to fear making mistakes and just have fun with it
Love your work!! Very creative and fresh. Please don't take this the wrong way. My intention is only to point out something that you might not thought about. I love that you used tank wheels as bits and that is great idea. But for us scale modellers those wheels are an distraction from your model. Our brains cant get over the fact that they are M4 wheels. So instead of seeing your amazing model, my brain is telling me there are some m4 wheels on whatever that is, in fact they become focus point. I love kit bashing and scratch building myself and what I've noticed is that even a simple modification can change something obvious to something new. For example drilling holes or filing edges or adding another small detail on those wheels would change them into something new. Again, love your work and whole idea for your army is amazing.
Cheers! I thought something like that might be a problem, but I thought after a paint job it might be ok. I'll do some modifications next time! Thanks for the tip :)
I just recently found your videos and wow! I come from a fine arts background, I loved sculpture but painting minis never really scratched that sculpture itch. Kitbashing is exactly what I've been looking for! Thank you for these videos and sharing your art!
I spoke with a bloke at a wargames show some years ago who was buying old 3rd edition 40K codexes. His group were playing the old rules as they'd opted out of the GW way of doing things and clearly had better things to do than restructure their armies every time a new edition comes out.
GW not supporting a game is my favourite reason to get into a game. No more codex creep. Rules that are set in stone. Free PDFs or cheap eBay rulebooks. My faves are Necromunda (not that new nonsense with the same name), WHFB and Battlefleet Gothic.
Hi, I just want to thank you for all the knowledge you give video after video. And for the big smile coming with all that. Stay safe, and have a nice evening
As someone looking to also start a nurgle Warhammer Fantasy/Age of Simgar army as a beginner, your tips are really welcome and i would be looking forward to a little Modelline by you (and would be financially supporting you oc)

Miscast: I play Nurgle but I also play Tzeentch. But Don't tell them that.
Nurgle and Tzeentch: "Why you two-timing son of a - !"
Especially given they're opposing forces in the lore! Shhhh... I do the same thing.
i want a nurgel slaanesh army...
@@-Siculus-Hort- while the promise of speed and defense is appealing lore wise that would be a VERY disgusting sight on any battlefield

I mean, it's closer to 90k now. Welp! Congrats buddy!
Oh, that off scale war elephant is delightful, and so fitting for Nurgle!
That’s really sad to hear about the tavern generator, I didn’t realise how rough a start it got off to. Glad to hear it’s picking up now!
why is it that when I get a cool concept and I pass through TH-cam I see this madly has gotten to it first
Love that, elephant conversion!
Might just have to go ahead and try it out for myself!
I got into warhammer after buying some of the paint range for my Gunpla kits, seeing a Haro pop up as part of a kitbash was hella sick
