You guys. This is so great. You guys have the best freaking chemistry together. The Dans are turning into a real team and the flow of the show is golden. I hope you have Dr Davis on the show again; he's doing a terrific job here and you guys just gel. Way to go and I'm so happy for you that you've come this far
Thank you all! Kipp has been instrumental in my own deconstruction having taken one of his courses he provides online. It’s like going to a thrift store picking through a lot of trash to find the nuggets of truth in this personal quest I’ve embarked on. A forensic investigation into a very cold case but worth the efforts you’ve slogged through.
You are guys are great. I listen to you all the time. I do have a hard time with dates you talk about when you don't say if it is BCE, BC, AD, or BCE. You know what you are saying, and I am sure it is obvious to many, but I would appreciate a designation.
Generally, if they're talking about the Hebrew Bible, it's BCE. I'm pretty sure. But yeah, this one revolved a lot around the turn of eras. It got confusing at times
Great episode! Where can we learn more about the composition of Daniel based on these likely sources that predate our book of Daniel? Fascinating Stuff!!
I have a question (for Kipp Davis) about the (now retracted) Dead Sea Scrolls Fragments in the Museum Collection. In the reading of the content of the scrolls and in preparing of that material ... did anything stand out to you? Did you ever think .. this is another copy of something you'd see before / elsewhere? Did you ever detect any differences in the text (from other source material) -- or anything like a motivation? Besides greed / profit?
I used to live in DC when the Museum of the Bible first opened. Never paid but they always made you feel guilty for not donating. None of the other museums on the block are paid admission! Anyway, I was super disappointed when it came out the fragments were fake.
To bring the apocalypse, would the translations have to include conlangs? Can we look forward to bible translations into High Valarian, oir Klingon. What about rediscovered languages? Sumerian, or Akkadian?
Kipp mentioned the year 1947. The year sounded familiar. In 1947, the United Nations adopted the Partition Plan for Palestine -- 42% for the Arab state, 2% for international zone, and 56% for the Jewish state.
@@Jd-808 it's probably because something so big would get tons of scrutiny. The circumstances around the supposed Secret Gospel of Mark discovery are a good example of that.
Is there a good resource that addresses the legitimate (and illegitimate) apologetic import of the Dead Sea Scrolls for Christian claims? It seems that apologists take way too much liberty with findings in this space, but surely some of the findings support some of those claims? In other words, how good/bad is it for Christian Apologetics?
As a matter of fact, I have been working on a series over at my channel called "The Dead Sea Scrolls: Unapologetically," that addresses these exact questions. There are eight episodes in the playlist comprising over 250 mins. Just search for the series title, or find it on my channel, "Kipp Davis."
Ah, the inkwell you found was the missing gift bestowed from John the Baptist when he visited the Essene community. It should be given to the Church of John the Baptist in Jerusalem and preserved as a holy relic.
On a different TH-cam channel someone says that the Book of Esther was in the Dead Sea Scrolls but was not recognized because it had wine spilled on it. Anyone know if this is true?
Great content. i follow Dan and enjoy his content on tik tok. My personal opinion is that teaser premium content is not effective. I’ve never seen it on the big pages I watch, and I personally will not follow or support that here on TH-cam but best of luck either way.
I'll push back a little here. If the Israelis really feel like it's there land, why not let international courts decide? Engaging in genocide against the indegenious population seems a bit extreme.
Just imagine 1500 fragments of squirrels with Hebrew scripture tadded on the side of them😂😂😂 It's like put your favorite Psalm on a guinea pig tatted on him and send it to somebody as a Christmas gift 💜
27:04 Hold up, hold up, hold up!!! The earliest ones of what!!!??? Because there is zero fragments that say we are Essen's!!!! You need to clarify what manuscript proves they were Essen's and what manuscript is dating to what time to prove these are Essenes 🗣️🗣️🗣️
The Book of Exodus The Book of Jeremiah and the book of Daniel do not say we are Essenes 🗣️ Those would be levite Temple priests who was exiled out of the temple when it was defiled. Qumran calls themselves all kinds of things but never not once Essen's!!!!

Moses recorded Pi 3.14 first near 1400 BC and not Archimedes in 250 BC. Similar to the Dead Sea Scrolls this rediscovery will edify the Body of Christ. Exodus 26:13 makes π 330-15-1=314 .......................................................... Calculation of the Wilderness Tabernacle's curtains in Exodus 26:7-9, 12-13. Here's a breakdown: Total Length of the Curtains: The Tabernacle had 11 curtains, each 30 cubits long. So, all the curtains together were 11 x 30 = 330 cubits long. Folding One Curtain: One of these 11 curtains was to be folded in half. A curtain 30 cubits long folded in half, it becomes 15 cubits long. So, the adjusted length is 330 - 15 = 315 cubits. Extra Length at Both Ends: The same folded curtain is supposed to have half a cubit of material hanging off at both ends of the Tabernacle. Since there are two ends, that adds up to 2 x 0.5 = 1 cubit. Final Calculation: To find the final length, subtract this extra 1 cubit from the adjusted length of 315 cubits. This gives 315 - 1 = 314 cubits. 3.14 = 314 circumstance/100 diameter ≈ π ratio, 100 cubit court per Exodus 27:9-18 .......................................................... Pi 3.14 was rediscovered in 2015 by an engineer from Wisconsin. Geometry people will see this as circle-shaped. However, Josephus the Historian describes the traditional rectangle-shaped Tabernacle. These are two different shapes. Exodus 26:13 makes Pi
