Brian is one of the most likeable dudes on the planet. The guy is pure class. He seems like the guy who would be everyone's best friend. You can tell he genuinely wants to help and it comes from a good place.
Always love a Brian Shaw video. Proof you don't have to be an Ahole, jerk, or cuss all the time to be strong and powerful. Great info. If you've ever seen some of his videos with the Thomas inch dumbell, then you've seen how strong his grip is.
All that is signs of weakness if anything a reflection of the poor man. It's desperate tries to try and take position of power and input intimidation when they don't have it by nature
Totally agree. His strength and size are only surpassed by his good nature and humbleness. I prefer to listen to Brian than someone like CT Fletcher who is always throwing f bombs every 3 words and acting like a total jackass.
I mean I hate them but I really am one of them. I try to be myself but myself is always scared of judging and can't defend himself. And the worst part is that I'm big. I'd say I look like Noel Dyzel but a little smaller AND I've been training for a decade.
Honestly Brian Shaw is one of the greatest spokesmen that strength-training has ever had. He's massive and one of the friendliest guys in the world. Inspirational.
I use a hand grip instead of wrapping my thumb around I place my thumb straight up the handle. Now squeeze concentrating on the push of the thumb. builds great thumb strength
I don't use straps, some say that it will help you on your lift but i reply them " I got all the help i need with my natural grip" and your right shaw, holding to some heavy months after months your grip will do more without straps
You know being from the UK I love Eddie Hall but my all time idols are Brian and BIG Z. I guess I relate more to Brian due to his articulation, honestly though I’m blessed to be alive in this era, I’m sure stronger guys will come along eventually, that’s evolution and nobody can deny that. However, these guys are the foundation on what ALL strength will follow. It’s easy to look and say oh yeah that’s heavy but actually attempting a quarter of the weight you observe in the competitive competition really makes you understand the absolute monsters these specific specimens actually are. It’s inconceivable what they lift and very different from powerlifters, who are in themselves inhuman. Maybe this is a shallow view in the opinion of the masses but I hold Brian, Z, Eddie and many more I haven’t mentioned in the absolute highest regard. Almost super human. Put it this way…Olympic status is regarded as the pinnacle, dependant on beliefs (direct from Gods, in Greek mythology) Irrespective, these modern day Gladiators do more, I have no wish to offend anyone here as this is only my opinion. I place these men higher, the pinnacle of existence and strength, moreover the mental capacity to push what I ever thought was possible. This is my tribute to these men, like combustion vs electric. They will always be my personal favourite I salute you
With the pinch grip training if you only pinch with the thumb and two or three other fingers instead of four would that be good for training individual fingers?
Where can i get the thick spinning handle and the pinch block? Those implements sure look really effective and fun to use! Anybody can help me, please?
Does it help to alternate fingers when I grip something? I realized i really grip almost everything with my thumbs and pointer fingers. Would you recommend (or anyone) switching it up and griping things with just the other 3 fingers to increase strength?
So if you are suffering from golfers elbow then what? I use straps on back days when I’m doing most any type of row, if I do pull ups or chin ups, my tendons flare up.
I use straps all the time because I need them for a tough back I do all back training with straps and then I train grip separate I have an insane grip I pick up medicine balls with one hand
Grip training!!!!! Very good info frm the strongest man in the world... 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 keep the videos coming...I have some great info as well...sneak a peek once every blue moon if you can.😉😉
To all the people wondering why the big bear guys are always friendly, it's cuz they don't fear you cuz they know they are winning the sizing up contest. People who act like assholes are just compensating for their weaknesses.

Brian's the man! Such a great personality.
Why would you have to be an asshole to be strong? Literally never heard anyone argue that or anything similar.

You would make a good teacher or instructor. You explain movements and ideas in a clear precise manner.
He's a great teacher no doubt
You know Eddie isn’t lying when he said that Brian crushes people’s hands while shaking😂
Honestly Brian Shaw is one of the greatest spokesmen that strength-training has ever had. He's massive and one of the friendliest guys in the world. Inspirational.
I know right ? I love how passionate and kind he is
I could listen to Brian speak on weight lifting for hours. Free knowledge from a great guy. Thanks Brian.
I Love watching Brian He knows how it's done! And he's such an awesome person!

4:30 Brian: When i am grabbing this handle... I try to go gentle no to crush it...
Brian's forearms increased my testosterone by 200%
Never thought of the thumb strength thing. Makes sense though

Thanks for the tips !!! 💪👍
man is so humble and kind yet he picks up a fucking 50 like it is paper
I love Brian, but you guys need to get Robert Oberst on also. Preferably with Brian. They make a great comedy duo.
We'd love to make that happen.
This guy has a great personality
Aye another Brian Shaw vid
Got one more coming! Stay tuned!
For pinch grip, you can also just take some plates and pinch them together
I don't use straps, some say that it will help you on your lift but i reply them " I got all the help i need with my natural grip" and your right shaw, holding to some heavy months after months your grip will do more without straps

Try doing 400 pound rows double overhand.
Personally I use straps on barbell rows, dumbbell rows and deadlift.@@Sealed_Chamber
@@Sealed_Chamber I don't usually go heavy but slow tempo to get that traction and you know train smart.

Thanks for the tip!
I’m trying to get a better grip strength as a girl. Mainly to hold heavy dumbbells for RDLs.

This is all very actionable smart exercises.
My grip is absolutely trash time to start working it my whole body is pretty strong and well rounded I truly believe this is the final weakness haha
If you can't find pinch grip at your gym, I found grabbing 3 5lb plates and pinching them and holding is great for grip strength

Who manufactures the 2in rotating single grip handle that he is referring to?
With the pinch grip training if you only pinch with the thumb and two or three other fingers instead of four would that be good for training individual fingers?

Pinch block's can be found on the Rogue website. Not sure if they sell the cable attachments as well
With his height (6'8'') and strength, why isn't he the world heavyweight boxing champion? One jab from him and...well who could take that>?
He probably wouldn’t be that fast
The current champ, tyson fury is 6'9"
I wonder how heavy something has to be inorder for him to guess its weight.
My little sister has become a weight lifter because she wants to be Great!
My grip stength sucks. I can’t even go past 260
