Hey girlies! I have a few notes about certain topics discussed on the podcast, there’s always context that might help us understand what's happened with a few drivers. In this instance I’ll be focusing on Checo, because while he’s had his fair share of mistakes, his garage & the team are equally to blame for it 1. Quali: it’s been a constant this year to see Red Bull sending Checo late during any qualifying session, massively decreasing his time available to set & improve lap times. Those of us who are fans of his, are horrorized while watching qualifying because they’re either gonna set him up for failure or do a decent job. 2. The whole “Keep Checo otherwise the Mexico GP is gonna flop” narrative is hilarious. Before Checo made it to RBR, the grandstands were mostly painted red because this is a Ferrari-loving country; and even if he decided to walk away from Red Bull & switch teams, people would support him anyways because we have no loyalty towards RBR whatsoever. 3. Horner literally admitted to ignoring Checo’s feedback last year solely because Max kept overdriving the RB19 even when flawed
hey, thank you for your comment!! totally agree that Checo's struggles are not solely because of Checo himself. So often these drivers are victims of bad strategy calls, setup issues, etc that have nothing to do with them and it's so frustrating as a fan to watch! And I COMPLETELY agree that the narrative surrounding Checo and the Mexico GP was way overblown. The tickets were already sold and the Mexican fans ALWAYS show up!! I truly hope Checo manages to say on the grid going forward because he's a good driver who deserves to race
also, please feel free to message us on Instagram (if you haven't already) if you want to chat about any topics/share any info! our DMs are always open! :)
I heard somewhere that the base penalty for that has been 10 seconds. Lando's penalty also started as 10 sec last week but bc he was kinda forced to that move by Max they lowered it to 5 sec.
Road America (Plymouth, WI), Milwaukee and Des Moines tracks are close to MN. Enjoy! Road America is supposed to be a great track. Des Moines has concerts included.
Checo deserved everything he got. Q1 exit, penalty on the start and penalty against Liam, who was in the right, Checo dived bombed him on the inside and had no room. The real question is why Checo, in a Red Bull, was way down racing rookies at the back of the grid in the first place. He is toast.
Albon isn't going anywhere this year or next, Franco just announced that he has no F1 seat next year and he is already engaged to race in another series, he intends to return to F1 in 26 or 27. Plus, Vowles loves Alex and is planning for him to be the future of the team. But I agree with the rest of your assessment. I'm sure that when Franco joined, Vowles sold Alex on the idea of being the senior statesman on the team and bringing Franco under his wing as a mentee. I don't think anyone expected Franco to perform the way he has, and Alex wasn't prepared for that. He is so clearly under pressure and having a hard time, but I hope he can adjust to the new status quo and continue to be as quick as we all know he is.
As a kiwi I'm likely more than a little biased but all of Liam's actions that caused controversy are pretty normal here. It's very common to be calling your mates c-bombs and swearing casually, so I the horror at pulling the finger felt like it was a bit tame. The other thing I'll add is that there's a big "respect must be earned" kinda vibe down here so I can see why he might not be pulling any punches against checo and such.. That being said, he is on a widely televised international stage now so he'll probably need to adjust his behavior sooner than later. If he doesn't start to behave then I'll probably accept him being hot-headed more readily. No hate tho!! and loving the podcasts!!
I didn’t consider that line of thinking regarding Albon. The pressure appears to be getting to him, and I can’t help but think about the “They race me so hard,” radio message. It was fine with Latifi and others, but now going against a quick driver is getting to him.
Liam admitted to flipping him off and apologized for it. I don't love that he did it, but I definitely won't hold it against him! all these drivers do things in the heat of the moment that they end up regretting later
I think everybody is blowing the whole Liam flipping checo thing out of proportion, we’ve all been recently defending the drivers for swearing at each other during races due to it being a highly emotional and rational sport, surely this should also extend to what is essentially just a raised finger? Also age or pedigree shouldn’t have anything to do with it imo, it’s that same idea that allows older people to treat young people like shit and throw the old ‘respect your elders’ line back at them, love the pod btw just want to defend Liam a bit ahaha
I don't know why people are surprised that Max is being aggressive he's in a car that's is currently far inferior to the McLaren (being outpaced by Haas in the Mexico) he's fighting for his fourth championships of course he has to be aggressive what else do you expect him to do unless you're expecting/wanting for him to just wave Lando by and let him walk the championship.... also it's very funny that McLaren might lose both championships with the car they've had this year.
Nice job, ladies! My gut feeling tells me that Max will lose the WC to Lando, and Redbull will lose the CC, obviously! We are seeing the Redbull downfall in real-time, and I'm here for it!
Buxton, Buscombe, and Button all strongly believe Lando can win it and I would love to see it! Personally I think it will get very close but Max will still win the title this year by the skin of his teeth. Constructor's is a totally different story. Red Bull lost WCC months ago, all that's left is to see if McLaren maintain their lead or Ferrari keep up this charge and surpass them.
I'm right there with you in regards to the comments of Buxton, Buscombe, and Button. Also, Max is not going down without a fight, as we have just witnessed yesterday. So, the Championship is going to be tight! But I still have hope for Lando 🤞🏻 As for the Constructors, I so desperately want Ferrari to win it (as an obvious Tifosi, ofc 😅😂)@@its_clean
@@fathiaweller2277 This is for sure going down as the most enjoyable season in recent history. There are two things I love to see in sports: once-great but now fallen teams putting in their all to get back to the top, and reigning champions losing their easy lead and fighting tooth and nail to save themselves. Ferrari is giving me the former, and Max is giving the latter. And as a tifosi as well, nothing has been more thrilling this year than seeing Charles win all the races that are close to his heart, and Carlos driving above expectations to claim surprise wins. These last few races promise to be wild!
@@its_clean... couldn't have said it better myself!!! I concur 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 One thing for sure, Dec. 8th will be an emotional end to one heck of a crazy season! Forza Ferrari ❤
@@jamesbusher4290 which is all the more funny if you listen to her latest podcast episode where she remarks ‘we have never met a Checo Perez fan’ to a fan of Perez . I was like ´I never met a fan of Lance Stroll either’ and I live in Canada. Also, Perez trounced stroll when they were team mates and gave Tracing point, sorry, Racing point their first victory. So, it’s funny to assume Perez would not have fans when you yourself are a fan of Lance stroll.
Love the banter but wish you would do more research/bring facts instead of assumptions. For example, checking if Oscar had upgrades (he didn’t) or Newey’s start date (March 2025 and not 2026)
hey, thanks for watching! we have always maintained that we are a FAN podcast and definitely NOT the place to come to if you're looking for people who don't mess up from time to time 😅 We do our best to keep up with all the information and to get it correct, but unfortunately we don't! That's also why I said I wasn't sure who had upgrades and who didn't. As for AN, you're totally right, we had that completely wrong! I think what I had remembered was that his focus is going to be on the '26 car, which is why I had it confused!
not the "simply lovely" discussions again. truly, just say you hate Lando and call it a day. the dutch fans found it funny and Max didn't take it as a dig either and i'm saying that as a Max fan. also the hypocrisy is just baffling because if they would've been upset about it then you guys would've been like "oh come on, it wasn't a big deal". i don't know if it was a rage bait bit, but honestly i expected better from you guys
hey! not sure if you missed the part where Emma said Lando is one of her favorite drivers (and also mine), but we love Lando!! and I personally don't think it's a big deal, they fight hard on track and get over stuff quick
@@fanbehaviorpodcast i don't know, it was phrased weirdly overall and maybe you should mention that you personally found it disrespectful and not make a big deal about it because it wasn't. and overall this discussion about what he said is getting around in circles. let's move on already because it was simply just track talk
@@catalinam36 I agree!! Max and Lando will continue to have battles on track for years and years to come, they can handle it!! don't worry, Fan Behavior is very pro-Lando AND very pro-Max...we're here for it all!!! I personally love the on-track drama between them, I think it's fun

Lando had an upgraded car that Oscar didn’t. But I don’t think that’s why he got out in qualifying. He said he just went wide and that cost him a second. And then on his second run, his tires were too hot.
I did not think that I would ever find a Lance stroll fan. That is the fun in watching these podcasts. You will find some really wild opinions.
Emma is a diehard Lance fan and we love her for it!!!
The video of Liam waiting for Horner for their after race meeting had me dying 😂😂😂 Liam looked stressed
haha, would have loved for DTS to have been there to film! 😝

I think it's just been awhile since Albon was truly pushed by a teammate, but we know he's a quick driver and I'm sure he'll find a way to adapt!
