  • The Hasselblad X1D(II) and XCD 45p are excellent for night sky photography. In the video I demonstrate the capabilities by means of a brief star trail photography tutorial.

    I have no idea where distance scale is, and both my camera and lens are up to date.

    Could you perhaps do X1D-II vs GFX100 comparison?

    This stack software seems to be good. I usually stack photos with Photoshop, last time I tried to directly stack 240 photos and then my computer blew up 😅

      Yes the software works very well, worth a try.

    Can I ask how you got that distance scale to show up in manual mode. Mine doesn't show that, is there a setting somewhere to turn it off and on?

    What would it look like comparing this to a Canon 5d mark lV ? What does this camera has to offer.

    Thank you for this video. What would be your set up with the same lens for sharp dots stars or milky way ?

    Are those planes at Zurich airport?

    Can I ask you where in Zurich you shoot this picture from?

    • @mathphotographer
      @mathphotographer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The area where you can overlook Lake Zurich in this way is the following: you drive highway from Zurich to Chur and leave the highway at exit Richterswil or Wollerau, then drive up the hills towards Schindellegi and there you find lots of places where you have that lake view from Schindellegi or the way up the hill to Schindellegi.

    • @mathphotographer
      @mathphotographer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I drive from time to time to this area from Zurich to shoot these type of images. And, if you made it to Schindellegi then you can extend your photo tour and drive towards municipality Schwyz via Biberbrugg for beautiful mountain scenes or to Sihlsee for more beautiful photo spots :)

    Can I use ND filter with very long time exposure to get similar effect?

    • @lorenzosantoro2485
      @lorenzosantoro2485 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually you don’t need an ND filter in night photography as you seldom have the problem of having too much light. You can either have a long exposure or several shorter exposures to stack later on.

    So how many frames did you have to take total to get this result? Was it actually 600 or was that just an example in the menu?

    • @mathphotographer
      @mathphotographer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember correctly I used around 450 frames and the 600 was an example.

    Do you need to change out batteries during that long exposure?
