Excellent video as usual Shaun! Love the selections! Liquid Swords is simply brilliant! Also The Roots lead emcee Black Thought I think has never gotten his just do commercially as one of the greatest ever! Check his album with Danger Mouse called Cheat Codes out! Its great! Hope all is well with you! Cheers.
Killer stuff Shaun! That’s cool. They’re repressing some of the Gits stuff. Yeah it’s weird. They’re changing the cover art. I would guess something with her picture on it. 🤷🏻♂️ don’t wanna judge too hard the motivations on that one. 🤔 still a good thing tho. Another great vid sweet vinyl tag thanks for sharing. 🎶🎺🎷🎸⚡️
You make the best vids.. Lenny Williams, he's the singer on my favorite Tower Of Power record, " Back To Oakland". I'm waiting on The Gits reissues as well. Frenching The Bully, excellent.. Mia Zapata, what a loss. She and her band still RULE !!
Such a great band ! I'm sure these reissues will be pretty huge for the remaning members. Lenny's the Man !! " Don't Change Horses In The Middle Of The Stream" 🎵
Another informative segment. Your delivery is good. I like that you're in your natural environment. I hope you enjoy your 2-week winter break. Keep on Spinning Shaun. 😊😊 10:39
Wonderful news, like you said long time coming. Was surprised to hear it will be on SubPop , Im thinking that was the hold up. The Gits and Seven Year Bitch were on C/Z records. Interesting and nice to see Jack Endino still involved with repress. Hope all is well
One of my earliest videos was my hip hop top ten & 'Liquid Swords' blew everything out of the water. In constant rotation in 96 with Mobb Deep's 'The Infamous' in the car I've got a vague memory of The Gits from that post Nevermind era, along with bands like Hammerhead & Gas Huffer etc by never really investigated. Must change that. I have no memory of that Biz Markie singlee at all, just listened.. samples Mcfadden & Whiteheads 'Aint no' in full! classic!
Nobody beats the Biz. Found a few Biz 12in singles this year. The Gits are a great band, glad for repress and hopefully a bigger audience will find them, Viva Zapata. Hope you are well
This was fun, Shaun! I'm trying to find my " Buena Vista Social Club" cd. It's here somewhere. I was thinking of getting that live Ryan Kidd cassette since I've loved both of his recent vinyl releases. Wishing you happy holidays and a rocking new year! 🎉
You use film! Wow the budget you must have to work with. Shit that leak would’ve been stressful. I remember we were with you when you picked up the Crunt record. That’s a lotta questions! Hope you’re well mate 👍
The C-41 processing really gets the budget. That leak was very stressful, finding it at 4:30 and moving a lot of books, records and bookshelves. Took over a week to fix and move things back, plus the added stress of rain now. Yes we were together when I got that Crunt album. Hope your well Ben
Shaun, that 12-inch single of Biz's is really nice. I don't have the ska compilation. I heard the backstory behind the Mary Lou Lord album, and it's pretty sad. The CD version of Cannonball is shipped soon. I think water gives us all a bit of anxiety. I've realized it's going to come up eventually. It's ugly. I love Sade's version.I'm going to jump on the thread, but it might take me a bit. I think your producer should spend a little more time screening the calls. Take care, Shane.
Nobody beats the Biz, great single. I really like that Ska comp found it for a few dollars and it has been on constant play. I noticed while making this video several album picks came from your finds, I thank you for that. Wishing you well

I am looking forward to repress, It will be nice for future listeners to easily find the music of the Gits.

Nice bunch of questions. So many tags around now. We need a tag that ends all the tags. Ryan Kidd rules!
We need your punk vinyl tag indeed. Hope you are well
@shaunspins It's on the way... No rush!
good to hear
