Seen that clip of the ref laughing at Jimmy. I still cant work out what he laughed out loud about
The ref initially said Jimmy nominated blue but Jimmy corrected him with brown. Bit embarrassing all round really, but in fairness no way would any player be taking the blue on there!
Ben Williams is a great guy and ref, and was just amused at his own mistake. He even cops abuse and takes it, but there are rules about players' behaviour and sour old Jimmy was out of line.
@@SoSoSpeechless If it were me I would have been laughing with the ref. Jimmy lost his sense of humour because he plays poorly and can't rake in the money.

@@JalandharShere He could make an allowance for someone who is human and known to be good natured and chuckle at his own mistakes imo. That doesn't make him unprofessional. Jimmy wanted to make an issue out of it by confronting the ref and awaiting his response. Completely inappropriate it looked to me.
It’s a hard social life at the table. My favorite is the way Carter handled the situation and kept the atmosphere light where it could have become very toxic very easily.
It was the first time I saw Carter smile. Ronnie claimed to be "cool as a cucumber" but then couldn't pot a ball and went on to lose the match and the argument. Why should Carter have to give way to Ronnie when it was Carter's turn at the table?

That's not what happened I don't think, despite the video saying so. I'm pretty sure Jimmy said 'brown' but the ref thought he said 'blue'. The mix-up caused him to laugh. It wasn't a shot

The ref said vlue nominated when it was clear the brown was the ball to play, so jimmy corrected him and called him a dimlow which caused the ref to laugh and jimmy wasnt impressed as it put him off
Ref definitely out of order with Jimmy White. That's just not on at all.
I think the ref was laughing sheepishly at his own mistake.

There was nothing wrong with the Ref confirming which colour Jimmy White was going for but l don't think he should have laughed . That wasn't very professional behaviour from a referee ! Jimmy did stick his finger up though ! Not his hand !! As if to say " Poke it Ref !" .

the reality is that ron is good mates with virtually everyone on tour and that includes Allen and Vafaei - the chinese guys all love him - he is mates with all the legends Hendry White Williams etc - even people like Murphy who are constantly on him he plays exhibitions with

6:35 the ref took what mcleod said and did the right thing putting a ball there to see if he was right. mcleod did not in any way explain why what the ref check was not valid. he needs to explain why the refs double check was not valid if he want to keep on arguing. no logic was used after the ref checked.
