Yes, as an asian male like me who lives in the USA. Have always like non-asian girls/women especially white/caucasian girls/women. But has always been shy to approach them and talk to them. But I’m in a relationship with a English woman now. We met on a Facebook group page for Asian men who likes non-asian women or Vice versa. She had an interest in me. So she have visited the U.S twice to meetup with me. 5 months ago she was here for 2 weeks. Then over a month ago she was here for over a week but had to go home early for emergency.

The reason why you experience hostility and resistance is because it's not the norm for you to be with an asian guy since it's not normal for asian men to score girls. This is so odd to me. I am a white girl and am engaged to a Chinese male. I have not received any weird looks or reactions throughout the four years we have been together. Very interesting. I think both of you guys are terrific. For me, I am a Korean-American man married to a Korean wife. My wife is about 2 inches taller than me. We somehow do not like each other's height. However, we realize that finding a husband or wife who has great character is extremely competitive. You just can't pick anyone based on appearance or race alone. You need to love each other. I see nothing wrong with inter-racial marriages after I had an ugly break-up with a Korean ex-girlfriend. I think it is extremely shallow for anyone to marry someone just because they are Korean, white, rich or simply pretty. I am so sorry for all of the prejudice. Most asian in the west are shy, but not all. Its kinda also the culture, asian males are reserved and calm mannered. I live in Ontario, Canada and the number of asian guys and non asian women here are almost as many as any other interracial couples. Theres not a single month where i have not seen an asian guy with a white chick or some other ethnicity. Keep tryin youll find one or one finds you hopefully :)

I am British and my husband is Chinese. We met in England where mixed couples are very common to see. We went to live in his country and it was amazing how welcome we felt. It was not the norm to see a white female/Asian male set up as it was usually the other way around. But I got accepted more in Asian circles than in wholy white circles. We then moved to Australia were it was more common to see Asian female/white male set ups. But I have not had any strange looks in any country due to our relationships goes.

My husband is Korean and I got the same reaction with strangers on Koreatown (LA). But fortunately my motherinlaw loves me. But I feel like this is something we will always have to deal with but the important thing to do is to ignore and not care because at the end of the day you have each other. Love sees no color.
My gf and I get the same looks from white guy - asian girl couples... the "that's not how it works!" look. Funnily enough, when we visited Hong Kong, the old ladies all gave us big smiles and the white women were the ones giving her death stares, like "why are you fraternizing with the locals?" We were at a comedy bar one night with another couple (white guy, asian girl), and the four of us got seated between a gay couple and a black/white couple. The comedian commented that it must be interracial couples' night.

I have been dating a Korean man for 7 years. We live in the 2 most populated Korean City in the USA. The Asian women hate it when men date foreigners, but the Asian men call out congrats when they see us. Most restaurants refuse to serve us. Asian women cashiers refuse to scan my stuff (even in walmart). I have been called tea house girl and slut every where I go. I can't even buy a Bible. One time at Mozart (Korean bakery) the cashier tried to charge us an extra $5 because she claimed it was for tolerating "the slut". We had to get the manager to fix the price. I completely understand your pain. It is sad that interracial couples are look down on, especially as diverse at the USA. This is back in the '90s (I'm a lot older than you guys) and I'm Australian, but I've had similar experiences to you. My Chinese boyfriend & I would often get either "weird" looks or that "evil stare" you were talking about, particularly from older Asians - male or female. And we had the same thing at restaurants (ie. they thought we weren't together) OR they seated us in a "segregated" area. WTF? The best stories though were when we went to Singapore together (he was born there and came to Australia when he was about 8, so he was very Australian, barely spoke Chinese, didn't have an Asian accent or a very VERY light one, etc) - one time he ordered something at a street stall in Chinese as the woman didn't speak English.. can't remember what it was now (and this isn't particularly related to as a couple) and she pointed at him & laughed her head off. He could understand the language, he just couldn't speak it very well and she told him he mispronounced it. He was so embarrassed lol. And then there's the story, again in Singapore, when we were sitting on a bench together, holding hands and he kissed me. We looked over and this old Chinese man was looking at us and laughing and indicating what a lovely couple we were! The latter story was the exception though. Mostly we received odd looks and judgement - luckily neither of us cared!

I don't value my skin color. I don't really have an opinion about skin color at all. As long as your BF treats you well, who cares what others think? If you're an adult, your family will have to accept your decision because it's your life! Your parents will not be around forever to dictate what you should do so you have to follow your heart. From my experience with interracial dating, when you're deeply in love with your partner, you no longer notice your love one's skin color. I get stares from mostly older adults but rarely from young people. As the older generations die out, interracial dating will become more more acceptable and perhaps, even the norm.

I've never dated someone of my own background (I'm a UK born Indian who has spent most of my life in Australia), and to be honest, I don't have an interest to either. This will probably get some noses out of joint, but I don't really find my own people too attractive. That's not to say there aren't many hot Indian girls, there ARE. But for me it feels too close to home. I look at them and they seem like some distant cousin. Creeps me right out. I find myself attracted to girls of other backgrounds. The "Melting Pot" of America appears mostly in the west and east coast of the United States. The states in between are mostly populated by whites and blacks, and there are very few Asians. Overall, Asian males and White females couples aren't as common as White males and Asian female couples in the USA so you will find people staring or making rude comments.

I think both of you guys are terrific. For me, I am a Korean-American man married to a Korean wife. My wife is about 2 inches taller than me. We somehow do not like each other's height. However, we realize that finding a husband or wife who has great character is extremely competitive. You just can't pick anyone based on appearance or race alone. You need to love each other. I see nothing wrong with inter-racial marriages after I had an ugly break-up with a Korean ex-girlfriend. I live I UK and here AMWF couples quite unusual thing(I am white and my bf is asian)....so whenever I go somewhere to eat with my bf I get all these funny looks from ppl of all ethnicities...but yes it's quite true that in restaurant we get seated further awau from asian families or couples, I get angry, not satisfied or killing looks from asian girls (it doesn't matter of they jave white bf or asian) I get looks from asian families and wven stares from men in these families and ppl always look back to check whether it was a hallucination or not. I am British and my husband is Chinese. We met in England where mixed couples are very common to see. We went to live in his country and it was amazing how welcome we felt. It was not the norm to see a white female/Asian male set up as it was usually the other way around. But I got accepted more in Asian circles than in wholy white circles. We then moved to Australia were it was more common to see Asian female/white male set ups. But I have not had any strange looks in any country due to our relationships goes.

I have been dating a Korean man for 7 years. We live in the 2 most populated Korean City in the USA. The Asian women hate it when men date foreigners, but the Asian men call out congrats when they see us. Most restaurants refuse to serve us. Asian women cashiers refuse to scan my stuff (even in walmart). I have been called tea house girl and slut every where I go. I can't even buy a Bible. One time at Mozart (Korean bakery) the cashier tried to charge us an extra $5 because she claimed it was for tolerating "the slut". We had to get the manager to fix the price. This is back in the '90s (I'm a lot older than you guys) and I'm Australian, but I've had similar experiences to you. My Chinese boyfriend & I would often get either "weird" looks or that "evil stare" you were talking about, particularly from older Asians - male or female. And we had the same thing at restaurants (ie. they thought we weren't together) OR they seated us in a "segregated" area. WTF? The best stories though were when we went to Singapore together (he was born there and came to Australia when he was about 8, so he was very Australian, barely spoke Chinese, didn't have an Asian accent or a very VERY light one, etc) - one time he ordered something at a street stall in Chinese as the woman didn't speak English.. can't remember what it was now (and this isn't particularly related to as a couple) and she pointed at him & laughed her head off. He could understand the language, he just couldn't speak it very well and she told him he mispronounced it. He was so embarrassed lol. And then there's the story, again in Singapore, when we were sitting on a bench together, holding hands and he kissed me. We looked over and this old Chinese man was looking at us and laughing and indicating what a lovely couple we were! The latter story was the exception though. Mostly we received odd looks and judgement - luckily neither of us cared!

I'm a white guy from Denmark, and I see things the same way as Nicole does. What's better about being white? I don't value my skin color. I don't really have an opinion about skin color at all. I'm used to being white, I probably (and unfortunately) have certain advantages in society from being white, but personally I don't really care about my skin color. The only time I care is when I get sunburns after 10 minutes outside during the summer. :(
You do sometimes see crazy people though. Mostly online of course. The whole "Anti-racism = anti-white" thing going on at the moment for example. You'll even see those tards on TH-cam in various comment sections. The people ranting about "White genocide" are the ones who usually consider me a traitor to the white race for not being racist. Apparently I can't agree with a person of color without hating my own "race". lol Arguing with those guys is futile and frustrating as hell. They need serious help.
I just don't get it. Why does skin color matter? I'm not me because of my skin color. I'm me because of my upbringing, my country's culture, my family, friends, surroundings, education etc. etc. And if I don't change personality from getting a tan, clearly the color is irrelevant. :p
You do realize that by asking "what's better about being white?" even if it's a rhetorical question, that you're indirectly emasculating other races. The problem isn't that people praise the Caucasian ethnicity, it's how people generalize and demonize based on uncommon perceptions.

The best context in the question would be "why would a certain race be better than another?" When you change the way you look at things, the way you look at things change.

I love seeing you as a couple and i believe that you totally much each other!!! But unfortunately i see around me that society has a long way to go in order to totally accept the relationships, let alone marriages between asians and caucausians. Since i leave in Greece those relationships are extremely rare, but of course in other countries the situation is completely different! Anyway, as you mentioned in love any discrimination based on color,race,money or culture must not take place! i dont know why people always have to question interacial relationships. I'm Costa-rican, and my BF is Acadian (french Canadian outside of quebec) . people always stare and my family got so mad when i told them i was datting a white guy. love is love, no matter what.

people nee to smarten up. we live in an era of smartphones and stupid people, where folks pick at the bible liike its trail mix and hate how other people love other people, as if our love would effect them negativly day by day. if hispanic men want hispanic women, how about they treat them nicely. same thing goes to black, asian, brown, etc. but why should we let the complection of our pigment affect who we love? for *purity*? fuck that.
As long as your BF treats you well, who cares what others think? If you're an adult, your family will have to accept your decision because it's your life! Your parents will not be around forever to dictate what you should do so you have to follow your heart. From my experience with interracial dating, when you're deeply in love with your partner, you no longer notice your love one's skin color. I get stares from mostly older adults but rarely from young people. As the older generations die out, interracial dating will become more more acceptable and perhaps, even the norm.

I've never dated someone of my own background (I'm a UK born Indian who has spent most of my life in Australia), and to be honest, I don't have an interest to either. This will probably get some noses out of joint, but I don't really find my own people too attractive. That's not to say there aren't many hot Indian girls, there ARE. But for me it feels too close to home. I look at them and they seem like some distant cousin. Creeps me right out.
I find myself attracted to girls of other backgrounds. European, Asian, Anglo, mixed race. I like the differences, it's like a knowledge and growth source. With my ex, she was a country girl, and we looked physically really opposite. And I liked that. Because for some reason, I felt our differences made us more alike. Just... human, where colour or background just didn't matter. Sure, some of you might say "well, your own kind shouldn't matter either", and I'd say, yeah I agree with you. But we all just know what we like and don't like. **shrugs**.
The other side of it is this - for some reason I feel MORE comfortable with someone of a different background to me. I don't live according to my ethnic background anyway, I just go my own way, doing my own thing. And I guess the girls I've dated have more interest in ethnicity than I do, and somehow that seems to balance out in my relationships.

The "Melting Pot" of America appears mostly in the west and east coast of the United States. The states in between are mostly populated by whites and blacks, and there are very few Asians. Overall, Asian males and White females couples aren't as common as White males and Asian female couples in the USA so you will find people staring or making rude comments.
If people have a problem with you two, then thats their problem. Not yours. Although they could also be staring cos they find you a cute couple or something. You never know. Bottomline, who cares what other ppl think. other ppl suck.
