Had to come back and visit this gem again since they finally animated Ukitake’s big moment in the Thousand Year Blood War arc after all these years. Even though I read the manga, coming back to this song would put me in the feels.
I love listening to this song while walking home at night during the winter when it's quiet and there's snow. It makes everything feel so magical. I highly recommend that you try it. T.T

No, he did not die in the anime. The anime does not go as far The Thousand-Year Blood War arc, which is when he dies. The last anime arc is the Lost Agent arc. (Chapter 621 in the manga is when Ukitake falls, and chapter 685 confirms his death.) Hope this helps!
