It seems that the execution plan created by SQL MS differs from the ones generated in DataGrip. Moreover, the diagram mode in DataGrip displays information in a different way compared to SQL MS. For instance, the visualization in DataGrip is arranged from top to bottom while SQL MS follows a right-to-left approach. Another significant difference is the preview nodes. In DataGrip, the cost is displayed as a float number, whereas SQL MS presents the cost as a percentage. Furthermore, a noticeable difference is the absence of an analyzer tips feature in Data Grip, which is available in SQL MS Analyzer. It provides a bunch of tips on how to fix issues with the query, which is not present in Data Grip.
DataGrip offers Code Inspection while it may not be identical in terms of functionality still serves a similar purpose to detect and offer suggestions/fixes in your statements. Query Parameter showing error in SQL Server Dialect, but compile-able. Pls fix this.(I find the same bug reported in YouTrack, flaged as resolved but still hapen in latest update of Rider)
Hello Marcin, There is a third-party plugin, you can try it. Go to Settings -> Plugins -> Marketplace and search for "SQL Server backup". For all questions, please contact plugin developers.
Just wanted to share a different experience. I didn’t think about this at all. As a side note, many reporters/journalists are trained to nod during interviews instead of confirming that they are listening by saying “mmm”, “yeee”, “aha” all the time which is a lot more distracting.
I agree with Mr M. I accept that nodding at appropriate times is better than audible affirmation, but he was just nodding relentlessly. I know it must be difficult being on camera when not presenting and (presumably) moderating the chat, but maybe only show the presenter? It’s just a bit of viewer feedback, not an angry complaint.
@@curtmantle7486 @MrM thanks for the feedback. I instinctually nod when something is good and Max had a lot of good stuff. I'll try to book worse guests in the future to keep my nodding at a minimum.
This is just very useless. How am I even suppose to learn this. I have been stuck with trying to connect to an SQL server. I tried out everything you did above but each time I test the connection, it keeps failing
Khalid really got his neck workout in on this one
I think this was great! Very interesting! Great job guys!

Are there plans to add support for bacpac files (export/import) for mssql?

Connecting an already created loc MSSQL to datagrip is really tricky for some reason.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
Great video, thanks!
Khalid, not hating or something, but you're nodding your head to much, it's a bit distracting.

Can you please share more details about that?
