Learn how to sublimate a 40 oz tumbler with a handle!
Tumblers are some of my favorite sublimation projects, because they’re a fun, functional way to show off pretty designs! Together, we’ve made many skinny tumblers where creating an invisible seam is the main challenge. Plus, we’ve learned how to sublimate tapered tumblers with specially-shaped paper. But learning how to sublimate a 40oz tumbler with a handle was an even bigger challenge! These cups have straight sections, tapered areas, brackets to sublimate around, AND they’re larger than many heat sources! I’ve combined parts of several tutorials (and learned a few new tricks along the way!) to learn how to sublimate a 40 oz tumbler with a handle. Now, I’m excited to share everything I’ve learned with you so you can make your own!

Hello Jennifer thank you for getting back to me, can i use any convection oven or does it have to be a sublimation oven please

You can use a regular convection oven for sublimation, but it's important to dedicate it solely for that purpose to avoid any contamination with food. Sublimation ink releases fumes when heated, so using the same oven for cooking is not recommended. Make sure to work in a well-ventilated area and consider using a fan or opening a window to help with ventilation.

I have a park design in a key location, to pitch to investors. Just a simple layout design with key parts.
To put on a brochure. The design his in my head just needs to go on paper.

I just peeled the cricut vinyl off of my Stanley cup. It lasted for one day. This is the first time it has ever done this. This Stanley (40oz Hyper Geo) is smoother than the normal ones. I wonder if this method would work without damaging the Geo design on the cup?

This project is for sublimation and the Stanley cups that were used are stainless steel. jennifermaker.com/how-to-sublimate-a-40-oz-tumbler/

Oh man, I just made one of these last week using a blank from Hobby Lobby. Though I’m happy with how it turned out, it took a ton of research and I only sublimated the top half. It would have been so much easier with this tutorial! Now I want to make another using all of your tips!

For heat transfer paper, print and cut. Would a house hold iron work to apply? thanks

Alas, you cannot use an iron with sublimation crafting -- it does not get hot enough. Also, for a sublimation tumbler like this, you'd want to heat it in an oven, not in a press.
