- Day 2 on the remote mini island. Didn't take much foraging come up with an amazing catch and cook meal. Hard to beat a good Squid fry up!

The excitement I get when I see a new rokkit kit vid in my suggestions is how I remember waking up early on a Saturday morning to watch cartoons felt. Just can’t get enough!!!

waking up early on a saturday? when i was 8 or 9ish i would wake up at like 5 or 6 in the morning almost everday just to watch some cartoons but now that im older i dont know how i had so much energy to do that, but i wish i still woke up early just to do anything because it felt so good just to wrap up in a blanket and watch cartoons

Best meal I ever had was on the central coast of Italy. Homemade calamari plus a deep-fried squid stuffed with chopped tentacle, chopped clams, white beans and chili peppers. Both were served with a lemon/garlic aioli drizzled with squid ink and served on a bed of arugula (rocket). Made by my friend's mom directly from their fishing boat. Squid was a "by-catch", so the didn't sell them at market. Family basically had fresh squid daily. AH those were the days. Great drone shots, by the way. LOL Love this channel.

I'm glad you mentioned the fake wake-up thing, cause I always thought it was funny of how someone wakes up when the camera is rolling unless they kept it rolling the whole night which in case they'd have to have it running on a charger and having a huge memory card.
without a doubt that was a great cook up. The crunch of the batter as you bit into it showed how crisp it was. Yes one good size squid is enough for a meal. Almost enough for two. So glad I watched this.

Just got done with 41 hrs no food prep for colonoscopy, came home after and smashed a big sub sandwich, but this is making me so hungry! Why do we torture ourselves watching him cook up such good food we'll never taste?

I wasn't a fan and used to just catch them and give them to other people.
About 25 years ago I gave a couple to an Italian lady on a Jetty and she cooked them up and gave me some the next day.
Loved it.
Going away in a few weeks so will try and catch some and cook them this way.

As a fellow fisherman and boat camper I really enjoy these, and your production quality is always excellent. Your vids rival big-budget television shows, and they're real. No helicopter and TV crew just outside of frame, or posh resort down the beach. It's just you out there, a long ways from home. I like that. Camping in a wilderness by yourself isn't for everyone, it can be lonely if you're not well adjusted to it. But it's a wonderful experience if you are. Thanks for sharing it with us. A lot of fun by yourself and I’ve done a lot of it but nothing beats sharing the moments with a mate. Makes the experience 10 x better

Here I sit in Midwest USA, I've only been to the ocean twice in my life, never sailed or been on a boat more than 5 times in my life and I'm sitting here thinking "I want to do this one day" like anyone can go out and do this. Lol. One day, I might. Can't imagine how good freshly caught calamari tastes.
