I can say they are trying to find ways around just "awakening" by making hybrid units. I was confused seeing Barrog as a support because I knew he was Vanguard. (He came out around the first Easter Event) However, I think this path makes sense. Gives Heroes more versatility and hopefully this makes team compositions more interesting and fun. However! We need more events! New and Fresh events. Also we need sneak peaks and other hype events (like fusions or fragment collection) to keep old and new players engaged.

From the way it's written, I understand it like this, but yea it's *really badly written* ! We got a "new" slot in team (for PvE only ?) similar to the 6e sloth support in PvP). Support as said, a support hero who will give bonuses and main hero should be like a "leader" in the futur (like summoner wars and leader bonus at first position).
If it's true, we got a alternative at the awakening system, which make next selected hero less predictable. (or even a merge of both... worst case for some heroes)
@@InsightGamingGuides i mean its good in a way since if you use Fiona for support it doesn't really fit, so having a melee support for vanguards maybe is a good idea, we'll see.

If the breakthrough genes are universal, I will probably be saving all of mine for the next hero just because as we all know, Vanguard suck
