Tara was attacked at her own house, got her ankle broken, her hand stabbed, attacked again at the hospital and was gagged and locked in a closet. Poor girl literally went through hell in this movie!
I had one of the greatest movie theatre experiences of my life. There was a group of women behind me who thought they were at a remake (I think) because when Judy Hicks showed up I heard them say “hang on wasn’t she in scream 4?”. Then when we start seeing more old faces and references I hear “ITS A SEQUEL!”. Then David Arquette shows up and they were squealing. It was such a nice experience to hear people in a movie theatre excited and for it not to be a massive studio tent pole with everyone cheering but just a Saturday matinee with 14 people in. After all the terribleness of the pandemic it’s nice to hear people enjoying a film.

While I really enjoyed the film that enhanced it so much to just think about how surprised they must have been when various things happened. It’s why the group experience in watching live music, theatre, sports and film is so important to our culture. I think my ranking is: Scream 2 Scream Scream 5 Scream 4 Scream 3. The only reason 4 is before 3 is because the reveal of Emma Roberts as the killer and everything she does after is ICONIC!!
Also Sam getting the hint for the knife from Billy is such an underrated scene, because she was struggling the whole film with the shame and guilt of who her father was and she finally accepted her past and that’s how she managed to fight back. She and Tara are my fave girlies
My hope for Scream 6 is that we get someone who knows their trivia and gets all the questions right, actual chase scenes, and a reveal that isn't as predictable

Just a fun fact Mikey Madison also played Sadie in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood where she was also the killer and was also set on fire with a knife in her hand again. It was the reason I knew she was Ghostface because it reminded me of that moment.

My new favorite in the series. Love the small, quick easter egg that shows Kirby is still alive from Scream 4. Mindy is the absolute best new character in the series IMO. Tied with Kirby as my fave in the series. Dewey's demise was sad, but I understood it. And it was done amazingly. Legend. Nice to Sid married Mark from Scream 3. And I seriously appreciate the relationship between Sid and Gale. They've come a long way.
Amber's reveal is probably one of the best ones in the series, outside the first film. It was just completely unexpected and people in the theatre were all gagged she just up and did that.

I'm so mad that Stu wasn't a killer. Especially after they revealed that Amber's house was HIS HOUSE. Also, how does Tara's mom or sis not note the fact that her best friend lives in the murder house, when they drop her off for sleep overs and shxt? 🤣 I was expecting it to be revealed that Stu was Amber's dad, relative, or mentor. The actor even said he would LOVE to come back. I'd like to think he's been in a mental asylum all these years, and they'll bring him back for the next one.

But he was actually supposed to live and be the star of I think the second Scream, but some school shooting happened that made them nix that idea. But the actor is hopeful that Stu is still alive and will be back. So there's a chance. That's why I say I imagine he's just been in a psychiatric hospital for all these years, and they'll probably get in contact with him because they'll need to get into the mind of a Scream killer to solve the next series of killings. Then the mystery will be whether or not he's really changed or is still a madman.

Tara was Dewey legit it just hit me she’s the new Dewey just went through 5 movies worth of ass kicking in one movie. I loved it I loved it I loved it. When I watched this the first time I was so proud of myself for clocking Amber as the killer straight away but then rage screaming when Ritchie was the second killer🤦🏻♀️ it was a I WAS ROUTING FOR YOU, WE WERE ALL ROUTING FOR YOU moment😩😂 I was actually surprised at how much I loved this movie considering they killed dew-drop💕
Can’t wait to see this! *Spoiler alert* for those who haven’t seen the movie and watching this first time Dewey’s death scene really got to me hard. I love Gale and Sid a lot but Dewey was the middle piece that made the trio stronger. Plus as a character that I lived with since I first watched Scream back 15-16 years ago, seeing someone I’ve been attached to for so long… nope did not like it. But to be fair as far as killing legacy characters it was a brutal but rememberable send off.
You never fail to make me laugh! Absolutely loved this movie, I saw the first 4 this past Halloween for the very first time and took myself to the movies to see this one (I also don’t leave my house) and it was FABULOUS. So appreciate that all of the kids of color survived. And to have our final girl be Latina makes me so happy, Mi Gente Latino! It’s going to be rough watch 6 because I genuinely don’t want to see any of the current cast go out, they all have potential in my eyes. But as long as they don’t touch Sidney or Gale, I’m on board for the next movie. to me, the killers were the most predictable in this movie than any other one. And especially after 4, where Jill was such a huge plot twist, that was disappointing to me. also that third act was just sloppy. Like, Gale & Sydney are both stabbed/shot but then just chilling out in an ambulance? And Dewey's death.... don't get me started. He forgets to headshot them, and then as he's about to he stops BECAUSE HIS PHONE RINGS? Like that writing was sloppyyyy. It would've been so much more interesting if Dewey was the first character in the Scream franchise where both killers teamed up to kill one person. That would've been "an honor" to his character imo. BUT i digress
The moment the movie started buffering right when Wes got the knife hahaha. Also, 6CREAM is coming out March 31, 2023!!!! We won again. Now hopefully Kirby is back to join the gang.

As much as it saddens me that Dewey was killed. It was kind of poetic for him though he died saving Sams little sister where he wasn't able to save Tatum. Also it makes since for Dewey to be the first legacy character to die out of the three. It gave us a chance to continue watching the Gale/Sidney arc. Dewey's death brought them together and to work as a actual team. Their relationship has grown a lot since the first Scream. Sidney/Dewey always had that Brother/sister relationship and Dewey/Gale always had the on and off again relationship. But Sidney and Gale were never close they always had Dewey has the middle person. With Dewey being gone it gives them that chance. For those who don't believe that Amber could kill Dewey because of being a girl and due to her size. Dewey was doing good with hand on hand contact. Then he went back and got distracted by his phone ringing. That's the only reason Amber was able to get the upper hand cause he was off guarded. Also don't forget Dewey has nerve damage/limp, in his 50's, is a drinker now, hasn't stayed active at all and depression. He wasnt exactly in a good mental state at all. He knew he wouldn't be able to handle it this time around and wasn't going to but after talking with Sidney he changed his mind and tried to help. Also the way ghostface was with Sam on the phone trying to make her choose between Tara and Ritchie that's something Amber would do. It was her way of proving that Sam was "selfish" and doesn't care about her sister.

Poor girl literally went through hell in this movie!
I had one of the greatest movie theatre experiences of my life. There was a group of women behind me who thought they were at a remake (I think) because when Judy Hicks showed up I heard them say “hang on wasn’t she in scream 4?”. Then when we start seeing more old faces and references I hear “ITS A SEQUEL!”. Then David Arquette shows up and they were squealing. It was such a nice experience to hear people in a movie theatre excited and for it not to be a massive studio tent pole with everyone cheering but just a Saturday matinee with 14 people in. After all the terribleness of the pandemic it’s nice to hear people enjoying a film.
I love that so much, I’m telling you there’s nothing like a fun (not annoying) crowd that enjoying what’s on the screen

While I really enjoyed the film that enhanced it so much to just think about how surprised they must have been when various things happened. It’s why the group experience in watching live music, theatre, sports and film is so important to our culture. During the pandemic and lockdowns I found your channel because I liked watching reaction videos because I missed that experience (it was the knives out video).

Also Sam getting the hint for the knife from Billy is such an underrated scene, because she was struggling the whole film with the shame and guilt of who her father was and she finally accepted her past and that’s how she managed to fight back. She and Tara are my fave girlies
My hope for Scream 6 is that we get someone who knows their trivia and gets all the questions right, actual chase scenes, and a reveal that isn't as predictable

My new favorite in the series. Love the small, quick easter egg that shows Kirby is still alive from Scream 4. Mindy is the absolute best new character in the series IMO. Tied with Kirby as my fave in the series. Dewey's demise was sad, but I understood it. And it was done amazingly. Legend. Nice to Sid married Mark from Scream 3. But he was actually supposed to live and be the star of I think the second Scream, but some school shooting happened that made them nix that idea. But the actor is hopeful that Stu is still alive and will be back. So there's a chance. That's why I say I imagine he's just been in a psychiatric hospital for all these years, and they'll probably get in contact with him because they'll need to get into the mind of a Scream killer to solve the next series of killings. Then the mystery will be whether or not he's really changed or is still a madman.

I was entertained from beginning to end and the gays lived the Hispanics and black people lived like yes ty!! Plus instead of a girl dying in a shower soaping up (Sydney voice it’s insulting ) it was the guy and even then it took so long for his death my anxiety was high until finally I was lolled into a false sense of security and then bam! When I watched this the first time I was so proud of myself for clocking Amber as the killer straight away but then rage screaming when Ritchie was the second killer🤦🏻♀️ it was a I WAS ROUTING FOR YOU, WE WERE ALL ROUTING FOR YOU moment😩😂

Dewey’s death scene really got to me hard. I love Gale and Sid a lot but Dewey was the middle piece that made the trio stronger. Plus as a character that I lived with since I first watched Scream back 15-16 years ago, seeing someone I’ve been attached to for so long… nope did not like it.
But to be fair as far as killing legacy characters it was a brutal but rememberable send off.
You never fail to make me laugh! Absolutely loved this movie, I saw the first 4 this past Halloween for the very first time and took myself to the movies to see this one (I also don’t leave my house) and it was FABULOUS.
So appreciate that all of the kids of color survived. And to have our final girl be Latina makes me so happy, Mi Gente Latino! It’s going to be rough watch 6 because I genuinely don’t want to see any of the current cast go out, they all have potential in my eyes.
But as long as they don’t touch Sidney or Gale, I’m on board for the next movie. The new team did a wonderful job or honoring the past, so I hope that they do something wild and really unexpected for 6. Thank you for always entertaining Zzavid!

to me, the killers were the most predictable in this movie than any other one. And especially after 4, where Jill was such a huge plot twist, that was disappointing to me.
also that third act was just sloppy. Like, Gale & Sydney are both stabbed/shot but then just chilling out in an ambulance?
And Dewey's death.... don't get me started. He forgets to headshot them, and then as he's about to he stops BECAUSE HIS PHONE RINGS? Like that writing was sloppyyyy. It would've been so much more interesting if Dewey was the first character in the Scream franchise where both killers teamed up to kill one person. That would've been "an honor" to his character imo. BUT i digress
The moment the movie started buffering right when Wes got the knife hahaha. Also, 6CREAM is coming out March 31, 2023!!!! We won again. Now hopefully Kirby is back to join the gang.

Totally agree that moment at the end is when I finally liked Samantha. Your scream of "coñazo!" are my favorite! I love your commentary so much. Tara is a badass, Mindy was my favorite too and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do next.
As much as it saddens me that Dewey was killed. It was kind of poetic for him though he died saving Sams little sister where he wasn't able to save Tatum. Also it makes since for Dewey to be the first legacy character to die out of the three. It gave us a chance to continue watching the Gale/Sidney arc. Dewey's death brought them together and to work as a actual team. Their relationship has grown a lot since the first Scream. Sidney/Dewey always had that Brother/sister relationship and Dewey/Gale always had the on and off again relationship. But Sidney and Gale were never close they always had Dewey has the middle person. With Dewey being gone it gives them that chance.
For those who don't believe that Amber could kill Dewey because of being a girl and due to her size.
Dewey was doing good with hand on hand contact. Then he went back and got distracted by his phone ringing. That's the only reason Amber was able to get the upper hand cause he was off guarded. Also don't forget Dewey has nerve damage/limp, in his 50's, is a drinker now, hasn't stayed active at all and depression. He wasnt exactly in a good mental state at all. He knew he wouldn't be able to handle it this time around and wasn't going to but after talking with Sidney he changed his mind and tried to help. Also the way ghostface was with Sam on the phone trying to make her choose between Tara and Ritchie that's something Amber would do. It was her way of proving that Sam was "selfish" and doesn't care about her sister.
If they ever kill Gale in a future movie, I'm really gonna be tempted to walk out of the theater at that point. Gale Weather's is awesome! #TeamGale
