    I was working in a pharmacy that night, and remember taking shelter in the store's walk in freezer. When I got off work it took several hours to get home south of Andover, as the damage path formed a long diagonal obstacle.

    Instead of 2001-130s the city could of went with Whelen Vortexes since there was already one there up and running

    You know they say sirens are only meant for people that are outside if your inside you can't hear the sirens at all. But not me I can hear the sirens both inside and outside I remember being in a tornado warning before and I was inside my house playing video games and I could hear the sirens going off.

      Oh yeah here in Wichita those old Thunderbolts are plenty capable of broadcasting their message indoors as well. The only place you can't hear it is in the basement, but if you're already there then you likely have little to worry about.

      ​@@WMSJacob at least here in Wichita we still have most of our old Thunderbolts still going. I think somewhere along the way our city council realized the surprising history our city has with those sirens and elected to keep them operational, which I think is really neat. Antiques that are still useful are always a pleasure to behold.
