For me the hardest part on evaluating preowned are the looming TBO, C checks, gear overhaul, interior and paint that’s required to keep them going. When you add up all those for a 15 year old plane you better have 3-5 million set aside for that on top of the purchase price.

The accounting team should be your best department you need to be close to in order to make the smart decision. As a business tool, losing 20/40% only after few years of the value of this time machine comes down purely on the Time you gain Vs the Reduction of your Tax bill. Often there is a sweet spot around 2/3y pre-owned when you are lucky enough to find a Jet owned by a distressed business owner
How does the performance of the PW engines compare to the Rolls Royce engines on the gulfstreams? Which ones are superior? How about the new peral engines?
I missed the punchline too. Are you saying buy a 5 year old vs new is better? Just not sure the economic advantages based on his video. The payout schedule it was obvious that used was better as your money could be used somewhere else making money.
ok I think he saying the 550 is better because longer range 15m cheaper and get it now. unless the added speed and side yoke is worth waiting 2 years for at 50m

the aircraft comes with a 20Y structural warranty so they're in for the long haul

I have no idea if used or new is better from your video. Absolute dollar value seems like used is better. Reliability and features new seems better.

You can buy 3 550´s that are 12 years old for the price of one that is 3 years old. That Information could save a lot of money.
