- After giving up a point for some BS stall calls, the match goes into overtime. AJ Ferrari gets a takedown right before the OT period is over and seemingly had the match won. Zach and AJ get into a scuffle and the refs decide to disqualify AJ.
Then AJ decides to start taunting the crowd. He blows kisses. He does the splits and flips everyone off before walking out.

Idk how Ferrari was stalling but Galzier wasn’t. That ref was definitely one of the Ferrari haters. Dude got in AJs face at the end too but yes AJ is a hot head and needs to chill
AJ was pushing his head down 3-4 sec after whistle was blown 🤷🏽♂️
@cartersilva07 his literally had his hands on his back as hes getting off the dude, and for like a second. Then he flips out because he got taken down and lost. Ya'll are so upset over what 😂😂 he mightve got his hand raised, but he knows he lost that match and he's gonna go cry about it
nugg, you might wanna watch again with your glasses on. The flamer pushed galziers head down aggressively after the whistle. that is why galzier went after him.
Horrible calls... Never should have gone into OT.
@@bucbucbuc111 I watched it multiple times bud. AJ is literally getting up and has his hand on his back before cry baby glazier gets upset and turns and tries to "shove" him before AJ deflects it. You guys can hate and defend that crybaby bitch all you want, wont change the fact that all this only happened cause glazier was a baby over getting dominated by AJ.
Bottom line, when AJ needed a take down he went and got it. Everything else was theatre and the ref was the Kabuki.
Will absolutely love Aaron Brooks destroying who ever presents @ 197 for Iowa, love the clown show though, the Brands brother keep it entertaining.

Glazier should attend some of AJ’s summer clinics in Texas, maybe he can learn how to take a shot!!!
Glazier baited him. He doesn’t want him at Iowa. Notice he pointed at his coach after it happened. He’s saying… yah see… you don’t want him.

Glazier didn’t start it. Ferrari mushed him at the end and Glazier retaliated rightfully so it was a close match both guys were amped over it it only takes a close match and the passion of the moment to set something off.
@maniacmike28 he won tho 💀💀
I don’t see how he got disqualified over a scuffle at the end. They were both wrong. And he won the match. Like him or not. He should haven’t lost.
And Glazier started it!
Because AJ tried to punch his head off and flipped off everyone. The other one did not do that.
@@mangumwrestlingthe other stood up looking for a fight and physically started it. an awful call and injustice was done there. we all know who won
Regardless of what happened after the match, it was AFTER the match. Ferrari should not have had the victory taken away from him bc of something that happened after he clearly won the match in “sudden victory”. By definition the match was over the second he scored, anything beyond that should not count for the match or record.
@matthewnadock5984 if a guy is disqualified from the tournament then all of his wins get taken away and it is as if he wasn't even there. That is the rule.
I heard about this, but seeing live is a whole nother story. glazier wasn’t happy he got controlled the whole match. This whole thing was weird. Not to mention I’ve seen people NOT get DQd for a hell of a lot more
He threw a punch at him and flipped him off. Can I know which things you have seen that were way worse than this. He also flipped off the crowd.

@@thesneakygamer4343that was not a punch, get serious. And it wasn’t only Ferrari either. Absurd call to reverse the outcome over that.
Ferrari won fair and square. I’ve seen Lee do that shove plenty of times at the end of matches same with Desanto. The refs were mad that Ferrari swung back after he got shoved but he did beat glazier so he is the better wrestler but it’s bs how the refs took the win away from him.
💯 idk either of these guys but Glazier shouldve been DQd from the beginning for that reaction
Dude thats 1st thing i thought lee does it all the time. And he did it last year against Ayala his teammate in this same tournament last year. And then %threw his headgearand started yelling saying is this what you wanted. Go back and watch it.
You can't punch ppl after a match, doesn't matter if he was baited
AJ wins if he doesn't swing. I def know it's not easy at the end of a close match, but you have to control your emotions.
BORING! How bout less BS and more wrestling attacks…
Seems to me that Ferrari won the match, and got hosed by the refs! But heh, I’ve only been involved in NCAA wrestling for over a half century !!
After seeing this and Anthony Ferrari’s matches I’m incredibly interested to see what the Brands are going to do, because right now it looks like none of the Iowa team wants anything to do with the Ferrari family. Both Ferraris tried fighting their opponents (who were both Iowa starters) so idk what’s gonna happen but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Iowa pulls a John Smith and just cuts ties with them. Only time will tell
I was thinking the same. It certainly puts Brands in a difficult position
I hope you realized Ferrari's were representing themselves, wrestling unattached. And our guys in the black and gold, were representing Iowa, and they were flexing on a guy they just beat, trying to humiliate his opponent. Then Glazier tried to tackle AJ after AJ started to walk away. Hey I get it, this is Glaziers last year and he want to wrestle, but in that moment he was representing Iowa and him and Rathjen both made us look bad. Would you have been ok if Michael mocked Patrick after he beat him? Pat push Michael and the end of a period. What the Ferrari’s did wasn’t good but they weren’t wearing black and gold I would have Glazier and Caleb running their guts out. If Ferrari’s still want to come to Iowa after the way the fans treated them, they would also be running.
@@WrestlerMichael flexed on a guy he just beat (rathjen) because that guy pushed him from behind 3 seconds after the whistle…. Tried tackling a guy who got up on his head and tried shoving his head down more after the final takedown instead of just getting off because the match was over. You can try to paint it how you want but the way mostly aj acted after the loss was the most insane thing I’ve ever seen on a wrestling mat in 26 years of being around the sport. And they may have been unattached “representing” themselves but we all know they are to be competing for Iowa, so why disrespect the fans you are supposed to be wrestling for in weeks. Btw I’ve been a huge aj ferarri fan and supporter since he was in high school. I can’t get behind it this time.
I was cheering for him. But no more. He is an ass hole. He should just go to show wrestling or mma. He has no chances in freestyle. Snider would squash him, JD would tech him. Let's see what he will do in mma. I hope they chill him there
They (Ferraris) are a circus. John Smith doesn’t do that. See if Brands does the same.
Glazier definitely was trying to get him to do something like that with that little shove 😂

@@utesch713Lowkey looked like you were speaking nonsense until you zoomed in 😂
Did you all see that, Glazier entered the NIL transfer portal between the 2nd and 3rd period!!!
The Paul brothers mentality has officially entered college wrestling.
Ferrari would be perfect at Iowa. He could carry on the legacy of jackasses like DeSanto and Gilman.
Cry more
@ImOnlySIeeping Iowa, you ain't ever beating Penn St. and all of the Ferraris in the world won't change that
That was nuts. Either AJ should have won that or both should have been DQ. No way it should have only be AJ getting the DQ.
He was DQ for hitting the ref. In no world would both of them get DQ for one guys actions.
Man ... AJ would have been PERFECT posing next to Ric Flair back in the Four Horsemen's heyday ... LMAO
I think that the ending was highly motivated by the Iowa wrestler but still no excuse for the behavior of AJ. If he would put the same effort into the good of wrestling and being a good example to the younger wrestlers as he does the hype, he would be loved by all. He has enormous talent, and you can see he puts a lot of effort into training and taking care of his body, but talent alone will not get it done in this world, you have to have the professionalism to go with it, nobody that counts wants to see the BS at the end of this match, shake hands and go to your corner, that would have probably got him a shot at being at Iowa next year and bring him a lot of good to his future self. As it is now, nobody will touch him with a ten foot pole after this great showing wrestling but not good sports ethics, no room for this no more in college sports. Its too bad as I love to watch him wrestle as he is very entertaining to watch wrestle, just hate all the rest of it.
It's hard to control your emotions when your testosterone is through the roof from steroids.
I don’t know if anyone noticed but when Ferrari swung at Glazier and missed he hit the official. That in any sport is the definition of disqualification. You can blame which ever wrestler you want but you definitely do not throw a punch, hit and official and then flip the bird. I think that get you disqualified in any match.. Happy New Year.
He needs to work on that punching form if he’s still planning on mma
I’ll never understand some officials need to get involved in matches. At 9:07, that stall hit was crazy. If you’re rewarded for riding time, you can’t hit a guy for stalling because he’s been riding for some time. I get it, trust me I honestly do. They want you “working for turns when on top”. But it’s not always realistic and you need to be educated. On top, your job is:
1. Pressure, pressure, pressure.
2. Do not let him up.
3. Do not let him reverse you.
4. Do not let him up escape you.
5. Then you go for swipes.
Then at 10:18 I’m ready throw my recliner through my iPad screen. I know being an official is a very tough and thankless job. However, we’re at the tipping point now in both HS and NCAA wrestling where the talent level of these kids have surpassed the talent level of the officials. We gotta be better than this. 🙏🏼
Brah must’ve gotten tired of Papa Ferrari yelling with his biceps out all tournament. Ya see he wasn’t allowed in the corner for the finals. 🤔. Again, we gotta be better than this. This was boiling up the entire match. AJ shouldn’t have thrown a slap but this is on the ref’s poor judgement and repeated shady calls that started this.
Agreed. At the end of the day aj should never have done what he did, but the Iowa kid baited him and this ref was awful
slap? bro that was a full on punch
u literally manage to mess up your argument by saying ferrari is usually a hothead. like no wonder aj has gone nowhere
The craziest call was when the ref then called continuation in the third period for what should’ve been an obvious stall on AJ, a good make up call but shouldn’t need to happen
@@eatsumricegone nowhere? what are u talking about dawg its part of the sport to be in moments like these ferrari is literally a ncaa champ and didnt compete due to the SA stuff at oks so they had to let him go and i guess he took a year but his attitude dont matter when it comes to being good at wrestling lol
Multiple things can be true: Ferrari needs to cut the shit - not sure that will ever be possible, though. That is the reason for the calls I'm sure. The stalling calls were bullshit and he should have never gotten DQed for something he didn't start. What he did after that was ridiculous and is why he has the reputation he has. But if the calls never happen and he doesn't get shoved after the match, he doesn't do what he did.
This was definitely something where his reputation proceeded him. There’s no way he should get disqualified off of that.
For throwing a punch?
@@katietrotter9374the guy shoved him first
AJ pushed off of his head after securing the win.
@@gladiatorking2.0envoyofthe95 it’s wrestling. Shoving is common and they have to draw the line somewhere. In this case they drew the line after shoving, before throwing a punch and giving the middle finger. Makes sense to me. Would be a bad precedent if they dq’ed someone in wrestling for shoving.

What a terrible match to watch. 3 minutes go by in the first, no score, and no stalling? Na. I had glazier stalling in the first. Call at the end was ridiculous. The sport needs guys with reputations right now, not soft officials
Ferrari should be on his knees thanking the gods above that he wrestled a career backup instead of somebody like Aaron Brooks. Brooks would've majored him at least. Ferrari needs to put in a whole lot of work to even have a chance of catching up.

@@jouskehigaskita8835 He has close matches because his skill level is barely adequate. He's a physical beast who relies on simple technique because that's all he has.
Ferrari's future is limited right now to two potential options: Professional Wrestler or President of the United States. Outside of those two things, people wouldn't tolerate that kind of behavior.
Ferrari wasn’t stalling, and Glazier was being a douche at the end of the match. I’m siding with Ferrari on this one
I ain’t gonna lie Ferrari reminds me of desanto and we need more villains for this sport😂

Pretty standard push off to stand up at the end there. Not sure if the head push was intentional getting up but the other wrestler did try and pick his leg up and throw him to the ground afterwards. I'm also pretty sure a right hand slap to Ferarri's head happened just before the swing. Any male is going to retaliate after that. Flipping off the crowd was uncalled for and ridiculous though.

That second stall call on Ferrari was outrageous! And I think glazier wanted to get a reaction from AJ because he doesn’t want him to come to Iowa and take his spot

Definitely staged to some degree. Ferrari let this one go to OT and pulled all the theatrics afterwards to bring attention to himself and his upcoming MMA career.

Y'all don't know how to behave to say the least, how can you expect a young man with too much adrenaline and testosterone running thru his body. I would of all of your fans the finger too, and went over to Michigan or Iowa State. Bet they be glad to take 3 possible future NCAA champs.
@@FlyOnTheWall10101 Do you honestly think Cael would put up with their horseshit? I think the Iowa fans in attendance showed very clearly how much they want them there, both before the match with very little applause and then after. The three of them have been assholes since they were kids, that will not change. AJ will be a cancer in whatever room he ends up in. And you're correct, Iowa will not beat PSU. And they would not even with these three. Especially at 197, Brooks will crush Ferrari. If Starocci sticks around to win number 5 after he wins number 4 he'll smoke Angelo, that's if he can even beat Arnold for the spot or drops to 165. PSU doesn't need these clowns, not now or in the future. Cael's ability to recruit and develop will prove that.

AJ Ferrari is the Colby Covington or Kurt Angle of Folkstyle wrestling because everyone loves to hate him.
Where were the stalling calls for Glazier in the first 2 periods?? Both stalling calls on Ferrari were complete BS. The match never should have gone to OT. Glazier throws the first punch and they DQ Ferrari??? These referees should lose their certification. Blatant abuse on the part of the referees.
The worst stall call I may have ever seen.

Hard to tell. Looks like Glazier slapped the mat after the whistle in frustration & Ferrari pushed off him.
You don't cut someone after the match is over and expect them to just get up casually...
Gotta keep a cool head when your opponent reacts appropriately.
No… Ferrari pushed off him like a dick after the match was already over… All Glazier did was hit the mat in frustration

That's just bad all around, emotions get high I get that. Wrestling is not a street fight, It's controlled aggresion with techniques that that help you dominate your opponent to win. Coach brands is going to have his hands full, but that's the "IOWA STYLE". Welcome to IOWA WRESTLING, there is a reason we are great.
Zach Glazier emerged victorious amidst controversy. The controversial nature of the match added a unique chapter to his wrestling story,
Zach did a great job of wrestling not to lose. Won’t see him atop the NCAA podium any time soon
Zack lost. No one wants to win like that.

I'm no fan of the post-DQ antics (at all), but he was robbed. The stall call at the end was ridiculous. Plus, after the winning takedown was scored, it was the Iowa wrestler who started it.
Agreed 100%. AJ probably should have kicked Zack out to avoid the first stalling warning, but almost all top riding involves a little stalling. The DQ was the equivalent of the NFL's 15 yard penalty for the retaliatory in a scuffle. Does Zach really want to advance knowing that physically he was beaten?
The Iowa wrestler started it? AJ pushed his head down getting up. AJ is a hot head and has no chance in Collegiate wrestling. He needs to try MMA. Maybe Bo can shut his mouth.

AJ pushed off of Glaz at the end which shouldn’t be DQ-able. It started the scuffle. Stupid call by the refs. Tons of wrestlers do that.
This is a case of an official wanting to have too much influence. The Ferrari guy seems like a douche, but the second stall call was a joke and this isn't DQ worthy.
1. So looked like the Iowa wrestler charged him.
2. Is this the same Ferrari that won the nationals two years ago then rolled his truck last year and was out for the season or is this one of the brothers?
Leave Ferrari alone
Good! I love it! DQ is well deserved. AJ will be out the sport of wrestling in the next year. And did this dude really do a split and grind on the floor like a stripper!?!? lol! wow.
Not sure he will wind up there, but Ferrari acts like an Iowa wrestler already.

Nothing like the crowd and the refs taking a win away from AJ when it was initiated by Glazier. Here comes the politics in wrestling 🙄
publicity stunt
Noticed ferrari likes to bulldog and headbutt when on knees . Right into opponents face, he got stuffed, but still got the points. He's too cocky, needs to act like he's been here before
Love the stall call while hanging on on top. I was just thinking that AJ wasn’t wrestling to todays rules. Didn’t care to see him showboat rather than going to his coaches after the match. He would be a cancer to the locker team if any team brought in. He wants to be his own show so he’s better off just pursuing fake wrestling.
Ferrari won the match. Too bad for him. He knows he is the alpha gorilla and that is how he behaves. I couldn't see the penalties earlier in the match. Anyway, he has to behave.
A match completely won by ref
This kid is a competitor. The problem is he is a loose cannon. I think Zach deserved the pop he was advancing. He needs to be humbled and obviously his father and mother hasn't taught him about humility and who am I to say that's a bad thing. That being said we are not all wolves. He is a top tier athlete in a combat sport. He needs to know when to turn it off. Gable figured it out. I see a lot of Jersey attitude mixed with Texas tuff guy. Zach got what he was looking for. The parents need to regain these boys in or let the coaches take over. Society will not tolerate these boys. I like them and I think the youngest one has it figured out. I wish the best for these young men. They are winners
The entire family is arrogant. It's where he gets it from.
J aime bien la lutte. Mais 'ces comportements me gêne un peu pas besoin de se comporter comme ça à la fin du match quand on est lutteurs surtout d un bon niveau. Ils sont bien tous les deux.
Dana White would love him.... Ferrari that is. Maybe this his audition.
The best part of this match was the girl scoring a selfie and a hoodie autograph. Nothing else worth seeing.
People are solely blaming Ferrari, I’m not the biggest Ferrari fan but I am a fan of his work ethic and how seriously he takes the sport. Glazier obviously wanted to bait him because he doesn’t want to lose his spot, it’s pretty evident when youbknow a guy is coming in to replace you and that can be an ego hit for a lot of people. Glazier knew what that shove was going to do and he knew the exact reaction it was going to warrant, hence why he immediately looked at the corner and pointed at Ferrari, probably something along the lines of “You see? You don’t want this guy”, but both are at fault. Ferrari did some extra shoving but nothing that crazy. Ferrari however shouldn’t have swung or throw the finger. If he would’ve just taken the L instead of doing them zesty ass split with the double finger, it’ll be a different convo. Ferrari is still going to Iowa, Glazier is going to transfer, and that’s it. It’s a business and whether you like it or not Ferrari is elite and he’s an NCAA Champ, Glazier probably wouldn’t make it out of R1 at NCAAs.
Well after seeing this I have to change my opinion. Ferrari only reciprocated. He reacted, and his opponent instigated.
What a shit show. AJ got the takedown when he needed it and won the fucking match all that extra crap came after the clock hit zero smh ridiculous.
Im fine with hitting him with a technical.... but the match was over so should not have resulted in an overturning of match results
With Aj’s attitude on the mat he won’t get the benefit of the doubt calls. Seems like he’s his worst enemy.
I mean if you try to hit someone then give 'em the bird there's gonna be repercussions. If you don't think so get real.
Do people forget the Brands brother in college? They would fight each other.
just another big name school getting there way. that boy was getting his butt kicked.
I think the Iowa guy was unsportsmanlike first.
Couldnt find this anywhere on flowrestling. What a shame a huge wrestling moment like this happens and theres no where but this small youtube page to watch it. No wonder wrestling isnt more popular. @Flowrestling
Correct ruling. Swing at a competitor and give him the finger earns you a DQ. Brands should show him the door.
especially when he just went on a official visit to iowa, ruined it for himself
I’m rewatching it at 13:19 and I’m trying to figure out what started it- was it by Ferrari shoving Glazier when he got the takedown?
Totally agree. But brands won’t. He likes these delinquents.
@@alexfrankone yes. Instead of getting off him, he got off slowly and shoved him as what I think.
He burried his head into the mat rather than getting off of him. He did the same shit in his quarterfinal. He can’t even win with grace
The stall calls were complete bs. Especially the last one and glazier should have been dq
Watch AJ's cornermen Dan Dennis and The Bull during the match --- what a disconnect, and I can only guess at the reasons. And just like Anthony after his match, AJ doesn't walk to his corner. Instead, he heads for the tunnel where his family was waiting.
