I could understand if he came from a broken home but darn, I don’t understand avoiding your parents for so many years when you didn’t grow up in an abusive or toxic environment. His grandfather would not be happy with him ignoring his family like that. I understand avoiding toxic family……I do it too but this situation is weird.

I think for Champ, it was more of a they betrayed his trust BECAUSE they were all so close, told each other everything, and did things together. So for them to withhold such crucial information especially when they know that he is closest to his grandfather, of course he would feel betrayed about it and would hold a grudge. So because of this, in his mind it probably felt like they weren’t as close as he thought and they don’t trust him enough. But they also didn’t think that he could handle such an important information while living away from home in college. So he probably also has the thought ‘fine if you want exclude me from things, I’ll exclude you from things” “you want to keep me at an arm’s distance, I’ll keep your arm’s distance.” It was kind of a tit-for-tat situation that grew into what it became.
I don't know but I feel like my current is like Champ, I don't have problems with my family just time and work seem to be pulling me in the same situation as him. Champ, let's hurry back return, everyone's waiting for you.
The most underrated series I've seen😭😭😭 I feel so much nostalgia. I cried a lot! JaFirst really justifies their characters and gives their true emotion. How I wish they will have a comeback like this. ❤
Many people say that they don't understand champ or are confused why he hasn't visited his family since 2 yrs, how someone can be like that for such a long time but I really understand his character 😭😭 This is so sad to say but somehow I relate to him, just that for me it's not family but friends. I see how someone can be like that and what can be the reasons to stay away from your loved ones. He also knows that his family loves him and they even told him that they did all that for his betterment, he knows everything it's just that I think he is extremely emotional and sensitive person and when someone close to your heart does not tells you something so important even if they think it will be good for us, some people may feel betrayed for life and take a lot of time to cope with it. Also he was more close to his grandpa than parents and sister. He does not want to come out of that situation himself and face reality that what has happened in past few years, he is stuck in the time when he felt betrayed and now inside he also regrets the time that has gone, for entire 2 years not meeting family and friends, seeing your friends move ahead in life getting settled, engaged, married 😭 Soon I will be leaving for college I already miss my friends and now family.That's why I also related with name when all his gang members left and he felt alone. When uni life will start I will maybe see myself at Em's place when he left for uni and had problems with time management. I hope champ gets everything that he has piled up in his heart out. I feel like everyone it’s going against champ but no one really understands how it feels to lose someone and miss the opportunity to say goodbye, despite there being a moment where you could’ve said it. I would also struggle to forgive them, maybe not that long but I’m sure there are other factors as to why champ avoided them for so long. Idk I just feel that his life is very hard and I don’t think what he did is worth attacking him for it. (I know this is a show I’m just talking about this fictional wise)

Algo parecido a la historia de champ, paso con un primo y mi abuela. Sus papás no le avisaron que mi abuela estuvo una semana casi agonizando por una caída que tuvo se quebró la cadera y falleció. Mi abuela lo crio desde los 2 meses hasta los 27 años. Siempre estuvieron juntos. el tuvo que salir a una capacitación de trabajo a otro estado y ni sus hermanos, ni sus padres le avisaron. Mi papá y mis otros tíos le decían a mi tía que le avisará pero no quizo. But holding anger and bitterness for 4 years is a movie skit thing ( _otherwise, that person would have very little sympathy and only cares about themselves_ ). And then, he shut himself out of his sister for not telling him about his dog passing away *while he was the one who declined her calls and texts* . It's ridiculous. And sometimes, in life, people didn't mean to betray you (and they actually didn't), you just need to *suck it up* . But this is a series, so guess this is the drama they want to make.
