A technically brilliant movie of new theatres, superhit music by pankaj mullick. All saigal's songs are in his voice too. In fact pankaj mullick was to act saigal's role. But he insisted to give the role to saigal, since new theatres needed a big hit to improve their financial status. This was saigal's last film for new theatres, & he repaid new theatres for they had made him a superstar. This movie was one of the highest earners of 1944 around a crore then.

Saighal from Dr.Raghav.R.Menon. they both Saighal and Menon must have lived in the same times When I met menon ji he used to tell me about Saighal saab ' s melodious style of singing.he rated him the best when I used to meet him in late 80 and early 90s. Today because of the presence of utube channel one is able to assess our history and bygone era of our Hindi films., And I got a chance to see this invalid movie. It's mind-blowing. In all depts of film making.i liked Saighal saab's extra ordinary controlled acting and singing. Hail Indian film industry for these wonderful movies of those times.
