I think Edelgard always wanted Dimitri’s help, but the combination of everything that happened to his Kingdom, her reluctantly having to rely on TWSITD, Thales having the ability to control her whenever he sees fit and likely keeping tabs on her, I’d be hard to. Here was the perfect opportunity for her to be able to finally tell him

I liked that it showed Edelgard being robbed of his agency because it shows the risk of working with the Slithers. Something official showing this instead of fanbase what ifs is better
Their canon class progression is Myrmidon > Fluegal > Swordmaster > Asura. Though putting Shez through a variety of classes is worth doing to acquire useful skills. Especially since levelling classes is really quick and easy in this game.
Well, the Crest of the Beast is the only one that turned the user into a monster, could be that the Agarthans took those properties when doing their experiments. Also, according to the wiki, the Crest Stone embedded in Amyr is either the one from Gautier or the one from the Beast, so it could be an artificial one based on either one of the originals, as we know the original ones are in the Lance of Ruin and Blutgang. Seeing how Amyr is not in the game, it could be that they are using that artificial Crest Stone here.

Its not Edelgards canon weapon outside AG part II because its Agarthan made and she isnt working with them in this timeline. Theres no logical way to implement it in game other than something like "Thales kept it in Enbarr" or "We are raiding shambhala" so I they just threw it as a special gift during an Agarthan related chapter (For other routes when you S complete you get ichor scroll (AG/CoLamine tome) and bultgang (GW))

When you fight Hegemon Edelgard and she de transforms theres no Aymr besides her, suggesting she removed the stone from the axe and held onto it to transform or straight up ate it or something
It said in 3 Houses that Slither was making weapons and synthetic crest stones. This implies that Aymr is not the legit Hero’s Relic, but a copy, hence, why it can sync with Edelgard’s different crests

In this time, so Edel cannot spill the beans to Dimitri. Edel learned much in her side of the game, and was close to telling Dimitri more...until Thales.
I believe in this route, there is a good ending. Watching a video of the ending to this route (Azure Gleam? I can’t remember all the titles), it seems like Thales is defeated, Edelgard survives, and Claude and Rhea seemed to be on Dimitri’s side instead of Rhea being AFK the whole route and Claude fucking off to Almyra.

Bruh the entire point of the Three Houses/Hopes is to tell a top tier story of realistic war in a fantasy setting. There's no such thing as a "golden route" or "good ending" here, nor should there be. War is war, and there is no version of events that will make it all okay

Idk if Catherine is unlocked via chapter. Guessing from the other comment she is unlocked on a specific route or quest or maybe you need to purchase her from the character shop ( idk how to u unlock it maybe new game + idk if new game + is a thing yet)

This route did Eldelgard so dirty. Even in all the 3 house and hope routes where Dimitri loses, he still go down a warrior. Eldelgard has 0 dignity in this route, even in 3 houses, she at least fight til dead.

@@regulusking4299 The stuff with Edelgard in Azure Gleam was simply the single worst writing decision in the whole Fodlan saga. It absolutly crushed AG, which was initially really hype, so hard against the wall, it is almost beyond repair. I am suprised that Golden Wildfire is actually so hated. Is it because Claude joins Edelgard? Because I loved that. I can see the issues that the route is too jumpy and barely commits to something, tends to be narratively boring, and that Claude again barely follows his own ambitions. And then there is the Randolph thing. That being said, Scarlet Blaze is the best route of the game. Al around solid, just the ending a bit underwhelming.
@@Ninjaananas 100% agreed. The only noteworthy part about part 2 of Azure Gleam is not recruiting Byleth in that route is the better writing decision than the other routes do and leaves more emotional impact

It's all just, "gotta hot foot it to the Empire to quickly end the war." It's such terribly basic writing. Still, I think Part I of AG was amazing, and trumps anything that GW had going for it. At least it solves my problem of Claude actually growing some balls, standing his ground and fighting with his team despite the uphill struggle. But that's about it. Scarlet Blaze imo is the most consistent route. I don't think it's particularly amazing, but it's not falling over like the other two routes. So I'd agree it's the overall best.

Not really, as tons of people die and tons of bad things happen to tons of others. Hell Edelgard is so physically and mentally traumatized that it looks worse than if she did die. I don't think golden routes would work in a good war story like this
