They are not referring to the Hausa name (Asana).The original name for this drink is Aliha/liha = corn drink,this can be found among all ewe speakers or "GBE ' people ( 🇬🇭🇹🇬🇧🇯 , Badagry 🇳🇬) can also be found in Lagos called ( adoyo).The Ga version has it own name.
