I wish I could live closer to you so I could come and see all your artwork! The ideas in this video are amazing. And great to see the cards at the end of your video! That, for sure, will help. Remember you can still do that too on your old videos now 😉

Oh, I love now you started from home. I was not expecting that. Such solid down to earth advice 🌟 Like yours, my home is full of art from friends that I love, but I have also recently added a few pieces of my own. It felt like a bold move so hopefully I'm on my way to adding more & thus actually showing people my art! Also, no 8.. Please keep in the footage of your studio. It was lovely to see where you work alongside others. Is this collective still together? I'm part of a project that brings together artists, healers & small businesses too so I'm really interested in what you've done together x

Hi Stacey, yes! That footage was from the other day. We are definitely still collective-ing. :) I would love to hear/see more about your project as well! And I hope to share more about our collective and all the things that happen, including behind the scenes. And I LOVE that you are putting your work up amongst your friends' work!

What an excellent video!! Great job piecing this together! Fantastic! And I LOVE that you are speaking extemporaneously and looking into the camera at the end....as opposed to reading a script just slightly off camera. You seem soooo comfy now. I enjoy listening to you. It was so much fun seeing the various spots that you have held pop-ups. And I loved that you kept the little snippet of your studio space in the co-op in the video and didn't delete it.. It was neat to see. Your art is superb. This was a stellar piece. You really did fabulous editing. I am about to start a channel and I amtrying to figure out how to narrate like you did over top of a series of photos and videos. You have inspired me to try and figure it all out.

April! Thank you sooo much for taking the time to write this thoughtful comment! i appreciate the feedback a lot.
I used YouCut, a phone app, to edit this. my goal is to be able to use adobe Premier because I already subscribed to the adobe suite. But for now, just gotta do what I know. And you can easily lay the voiceover recording over your video. Very straightforward app!

I love these practical tips. I have done one group show and have my work in a vending machine of all places. I'm working to build a large enough collection to do another type of show. These were good ideas to percolate on!

@@annelivingstonart no… I love those… but the local record store has their own vending machine. It’s so neat to be part of it.

Hi Anne, I am working on a series that I am super excited about, so excited in fact that I got all brave and asked a local winery owner if I could do a pop-up show at their place. Full disclosure, I do already have a shelf in their taproom with few paintings for sale on commission. But this feels very different, and very big! It's in a month, and I would be super grateful for any tips about how exactly to host a single day pop-up art show. Thank you for being here for us!! xo Stacey

Stacey, this is SO exciting! Congratulations, making it happen! Is your pop-up art show going to be one in which it is more gallery style on the walls, or one in which you are tabling (or both)?

@@annelivingstonart The paintings will be displayed on trees surrounding the outdoor seating area, or on my freestanding mesh walls on the stage area if it rains. I found your short video on art pop-ups and found it very helpful. I'm glad I've done a few art markets so I have a good sense of the setup. I think the main thing now is how best to get the word out. And maybe making an online portfolio.

@@staceylewis202 This sounds like some fun future videos! But for now, since time is of the essence, here is what I would do if I were you:
      1. Email your people! Do a group email with a BCC, or small group emails with different "pockets" of friends or fam who already know each others' emails. If you have friends who like text better, start some text threads. Reach out individually to the people you know would say yes, even if they don't plan on buying anything. Let them know that just being there would be a great help to you.
Alternatively, you could do an Evite, and ask a few loved ones to immediately RSVP yes to get commitmentphobes okay with saying yes. :)
      2. Online portfolio: I have enjoyed using Artwork Archive. It's a great long term solution and you can have online "galleries" to send collectors to. Otherwise starting a web site is always a good idea if you don't have one. I use SquareSpace and find that they are pretty easy to contact with questions as you set things up.
      Hope that helps!
