Very nice unit. Price point is fantastic relative to the rest of the market. Not an off grid optimized vehicle but most B owners never leave the pavement. Really like it.
I LOVE this van. That bathroom is awesome. As a solo traveler I love the twin beds that can be a sofa and a bed without converting. That's sooo much storage. Dislikes the microwave on the floor pointless I'd rather have a drawer or better yet a proper freezer. Second the fridge is rather small but give and take
I'm hoping they will start giving more options for cooking, personally it's one burner, kettle inside and cooking outside for everything else, except when it's raining. Microwaves come in drawers now (expensive).
I love this van. I have a 2018 Midwest Automotive Design L4 Daycruiser which is multi use for a Nana who goes to grandkids tournaments and overnights once or twice a year. Mostly I drive family to and from the airport a dozen or more times a year because my van has 7-10 seats. I usually have 3 seats made into a bed where all the luggage is put to and from the airport. The Nova would be perfect for more camping trips. The rear bath is a must. Windows that open and screens are what my van does not have. This van is very easy to drive and park. I’m seriously considering buying the Nova for van life and traveling with friends and family. 👍 to Coachmen!
I think this is my favorite B van so far. One thing I didn’t see covered is whether there are seatbelts on the bench/bed area. I’m guessing no but just wondering. Great review. Thanks!!
I would like to know that too if there’s seat belts on the benches & if you can turn it into one big bed. I think the Winnebago’s that has this type of floor plan is that way. I would want a couple of passangers & they can sleep in a tent. I love the twin bed layouts that can turn into one big bed. It’s hard to crawl in an out of bed & climbing over someone to get out when you get older. I wish more RV’s had twin beds. I love the rear bathroom & you can sit to shower but I would want the beds in tbe rear that fold up or take out to haul stuff. I like the same configuration of the bathroom but have it behind the drivers seat where there’s a counter top that folds over the toilet.
Matt, I like that you try to be fun yet not overly so, friendly yet not overly talkative, and that you are always respectful towards the ladies, no disrespectful jokes.
Like this model. I didn't think about the running board for my dogs but I did think about it for my bare feet! However I agree, you could put a mat over it. I also agree about disliking the manual adjustments for the seats. Maybe they'll improve that in 2024.
This is a great layout but it would be better if they got rid of those storage drawers and cabinet in the very back and put the toilet there instead. Then toilet and shower would be separate. Could a person really trust that items they store in those cabinets won’t get damp? If they made that change this van would be pretty much perfect. Love the videos!! I wonder why more vans don’t have this layout? It seems so much more roomy.
If it is 20' long, it will NOT fit in urban parking spots. Parallel parking spots usually max at 18-19 feet, and parking lots usually are the same. I love that layout, although the beds are still a couple of inches short. But already over 20', it is hard to figure out how to pack anything else in.
Am not a fan of Coachman but this is a winner in my mind and view! The layout, bathroom, fold down sink, solar and just the build blew my mind! Will be looking around for this one!
@JohnSeitz no John not just C, rented the Coachman Beyond, and after renting PleasureWay Plateau (now called Ontour) on Transit Frame, I was not impressed with the craftsmanship on the Beyond. But I will temper this with, PW has spoiled me for anything else!
@@paula.jackson5463 you are correct PW is a better build by far. Note the Ontour didn’t replace the plateau they make both. And I’d take the Plateau FL hands down. Though the beyond wins for being AWD and having full lithium!

PW made a whole slug of them for CanaDreams a Canadian RV Rental company up here in the Great White North. As to Lithium, PW has had Lithium for a long time now, they made it real while everyone else is just playing catch up! And the Ontour is available in AWD.

Very nice van! It's so bright and open with all the windows, it doesn't feel so small and claustrophobic. Excellent rear bath. A question- when you were pointing out the sewer hose caddy it seemed like the van sits pretty low. Is it a potential issue? Is it higher than it looks? We like to explore national parks, and have found a few gravel roads, off the beaten path. would potholes be a problem?
Matt, we love watching your videos on the rv's. On this one Becky was driving and the seat belt chime kept going and going as you were filming. It was very distracting. Buckle up as we want you safe & so we can hear everything. Thanks for all your great videos !
Nice RV, very nice. Nexxen tires are tough, I had them on a van before, ran over a huge nail, it did not penetrate, instead bent the nail. But if these are steel belted, they are hard to balance and always vibrate on hwy. Also, very slick on wet and snow roads. The ones I had.

It’s not a bad layout, but why have the wardrobe in the bathroom? Since the 2d bed is shorter than the other, why not get rid of it then use that side for a closet and a pantry.
I just love it - but the seats are a deal breaker / these old arthritic bones would just kill the whole trip dealing with those twists. Make the shower hose longer for outside use ***1/2 stars

🤠I am not a hater but 'Just Say'n"....It is surprising that after all these years, Becky still doesn't know how to open the gas door on the Promaster. You don't either Matt.... ( It opens from the rear side of the door which is opposite of the Sprinter) Somebody please show it to them.... There is even a cutout to put your finger into. Also, You should learn how to unlock the doors on the Promaster as well. You push the "Key" symbol button in the center of the dash. I enjoy watching you guys. 😎
That is a fantastic FP! I don't see anything I'd add or remove. Though you mentioned it in passing, I didn't really get the capacity of the hitch. With that van, it would be great to be able to put my Honda Navi (just over 200lb.) on a carrier. PLUS I agree with Matt fully on the running board. My late Aussie ripped a toenail on a hole in just regular trailer steps (not too serious but bad enough).
Coachman has been producing vans with wiring that is just horrible. Check around and behind the fuse box. They say they are going to fix this but many vans have been produced with this huge flaw. Wiring should be like a work of art, neat and well marked. It should look like a freeway with no hanging wires and protection when routing through holes, especially through metal. Look before you buy.
Folks still saying Dodge Ram even though Ram is no longer affiliated with them for years now (actually 2009). Nice class b even though they are all looking pretty similar now.

Hi Becky and Matt, I like the floor plan, love the back bathroom, but why in the heck have manufacturers quit putting outside storage in the B vans? you can’t carry an outside rug, lawn-chairs, griddle/accessories, etc. hoses, chocks, leveling blocks etc. about the only manufacture that still makes outside storage is the pleasure way, and I respect that highly.
I really like the two permanent beds with NO CRACKS between the cushions. This greatly improves your chances of getting a good night's sleep. The two wedge shaped cushions can be used for sitting up in bed, or to use it as a day bed. But with only two of those cushions, you don't have comfortable couch seating for more than two people. I also didn't see seat belts, so I assume that the beds are NOT SUITABLE for daytime travelers. Not shown was any arrangement for making the twin beds into one large bed for making love and the like., thus I assume it s not possible for this floor plan. The long low back cushions used to fill in the center of the big bed also increases the daytime couch seating capacity
Love the RB and the Twin Beds. Bit if you blow a tail light (and Rams blow lots of tail lights) you have to dismantle the bath to get to service the tail light. Good luck with that

I only need one bed so on one side, I want more storage cabinets. You didn't show what is under the beds?????? Whatever is underneath, I would have the cabinets up to the window sills. We have things that have to be stored. Even a solo person. The second bed can be acrooss the front seatsif needed.

I like awnings that have legs that come down to the ground. That way a screen or canvas can be attached, maybe with magnets or ties. Can't enjoy sitting outside with bugs eating you up. Can the storage in the back be accessed with the doors closed? Oh no. I don't like that you have to open the doors to swivel the front seats. If there's a rain storm or snowing, then the cab part will get wet inside. And can the front seats be adjusted to be lower? I like the size of the bathroom and that it's in the rear.

Agreed. Why the seats are not adjustable up and down is beyond my comprehension. At 6’2”, it was very plain to see that my head would be scraping the overhead liner and I wouldn’t be able to see very far down the road!
I want to see 6 troop seats. Kitchenette and shower toilet at the rear. Ultimate roadtripper 8 seats. Emergency 2 sleeper. Maybe popup to make true 4 sleeper.

This van is a non starter for that very reason. Gotta have a gear garage.
I carry both. A small single burner Coleman and 2 Pico arm chairs.

I have a camper setup Similar and things stay dry.

I would say the high seat height and driving position is an inherit problem with the ProMaster chassis, not a fault of the RV itself.
