True. There was so much stuff that didn't make it to the final product, like Nero's full DT and a 'berserker' DT for Dante in which he would gain power and speed for the cost of sanity/control.

The timeline of DMC is that DMC3 is first, DMC1, DMC4 and then DMC2. That's the actual canonical timeline.
Don't forget the anime, it's between one and four, lol.
Devil May Cry 2 Actually Is Part Of The Canon It Just Takes Place Years After Devil May Cry 4, Capcom Even Confirms This But Yes It Really Isn't A Story That Should Be Considered As Part Of The Story Despite The Fact It Really Is part Of The Canon Timeline
DmC2 or DMC5...i don't care as long as my broke ass doesn't have to pay for a PS4...i'm fine
Remove DMC2 and we're good. The makers themselves want to forget that DMC2 was even made in the first place, it was that badly rushed due to deadlines and fans demanding a new game soon.
Canonical timeline goes DMC3, DMC1, DMC4.
DMC2 isn't counted as Capcom themselves want to forget that it was ever made, the game was that bad and rushed..
Yeah, only rumours. But seriously if you think about it, Nero couldn't even be old enough to be in DMC4 if he was Vergils son.
1) DMC4 is 10 years after DMC3. As Dante and Vergil were both 19-20, Dante is now around his 30th birthday.
2) Nero can't be younger than 18 years, at maxium 21. If Nero was Vergil's son, he'd be around 10-13 years old in DMC4.
3) Also he is 1/4 demon, which means Vergil would have to have sex with a human woman, and he kinda dislikes humans so that's not logical either.
