Gorubathan is a nice and small village located in the district of Kalimpong in West Bengal. It is an offbeat tourist destination situated at a distance of 55 km from Siliguri and 75 km from Kalimpong. This village has some of the best landscapes surrounded by forests, tea gardens, hills and rivers.

On our way from Siliguri to Kalimpong, we spent a day in Gorubathan to just relax and soak in the natural beauty of the foothills of the mountains. During the bike ride, we met three guys, Sisir, Diwan and Adarsh who were on their way to their village in Gorubathan and they offered to help me explore Gorubathan. We spent our time sitting on the Chel riverside and also walked through the village roads and went to various spots offering nice landscapes. We also went to the Fagu Chorten in the afternoon. Overall, it was a splendid day spent before going to Kalimpong.
