I make it differently, well I suppose we have our own ways... but I do at the end fry onion with garlic dry chilli, pinch of chilli powder,curry powder, paprika,zeera... and it tastes quite good..lol.. before I use to make it so simple with loads of butter tumeric and loads of green chillies..lol..

First time me and my wife invited my brother for a meal. Never cooked lentil before so used this recipe. Brothers family loved it !! Didnt use ghee but still the dish was nice. Thanks for the video it helped !!

Instead of frying onions and adding it to the daal I normally chop garlic really fine and cry that and then add it. Tastes delicious. Will have to try the fried onions one time and taste the difference.

try cooking Dal with full cream milk, once my friend made Dal with milk taste out of this world. I forgot how to cook rice and Dal since my mom stepped into kichen. only item I cook is egg that only if my mom is deep in sleep. I love my mom cooking. I love her Biriani. She doesn't put much oil. My sister and my dad also good Cook. My dad's nehari and paya is out of the world even though he doesn't put any spicy spice but still taste. My dad will do it for me because I can't eat nehari and paya from desi store so dad will cook for me. I am blessed to have such a great parents, Alhumdulliah. Your older sister so funny and seems down to earth lady. Enjoyed watching your video.

She used the red birdeye chilli which fried with onions in a separate pan. She then added that into the dahl. That's very hot.

also this is a different way of doing Dahl to the way I've been taught. Usually jus bang everything in handi dahl;water;onions,haldi, salt and when the dahl is all cooked.. do the bagar with garlic n also add coriander to the bagar.. ur way seems more tasty. I. a will defo try it to the norm
