after playing the extended edition since release, only because its on steam with workshop support and i dont know where my original discs are, i have now realised upon watching this vid that i have been taking the graphical improvements for granted for an entire decade now. i disliked the post process heavy moody lighting and over sharpened textures as soon as i tried EE on release but a decade later, they don't seem so bad compared to the original. i still wish that they had kept the colorful, bright look of the maps and textures and weren't so heavy handed on the implantation of the new lighting, especially for the campaign missions. as a kid i replayed this mission very often, taking it slow and making sure to save everyone. sometimes i would use cheats like tinfoil hat or pandoras box to spice it up, sometimes i would open it up on the scenario editor, because new atlantis just looks so inviting. somewhere i would want to be if i could exprience game worlds irl
@@MajorFoley yeah the water is the biggest improvement over the original game in EE. i had forgotten how dull it looked before, though it does have a certain charm to it.
Will you be doing tale of the dragon?
Love the vids

Only issue I ever really had with EE at least graphical wise was sometimes it was hard to see the fish :)
