haha so it's also an intel vs amd war! very nicely done - now I'm assuming you have emergence behaviors programmed? such as steering and flocking behaviors? do you also use a 3d spatial map to calculate vectors? this is all very interesting to me as i've done some pure simulation work and also have some understanding of electronics.
Is there a radio beacon in the ball? Object recognition is still very new and requires gobs of computational power - not sure if the small uprocessor brains of these bots have the crunching power for that.
why NimbRo won: Team Osaka's guys were tripping each other NimbRo was bigger and Team Osaka's goalkeeper was half the time away from where the ball was near the goal
les falta movimientos mas reales, para poder jugar bien, que detecte un desequilibrio y ponerse en una posicion anticaida, y que saque el balon de la porteria, con un taquito cuando este en la linea XD
First game of soccer I've enjoyed watching, thanks!
the team's robots are a lot more advanced than 2007 you can tell... the future is coming quicker than we all think!

The ball is a regular orange tennis ball.
Cameras recognize it.
Computing is onboard the robots.
NimbRo uses Intel 1.3GHz Core solo in Sony Vaio UX1XN.
TEam Osaka uses AMD GeodeLX 800.
Nicely done then. Are they custom dies or are you using off the shelf processors?
One of the players could carry a server for that purpose. And it's 42 years left, computing has come a long way since 1966 so I guess robots will too.
São mostrados só os gols ou a partida inteira?
Great robots! Well done, to both teams!
Nice game! I respect engineers!
There is individuality mutually and it is interesting.
How the hell do to know where to score?
The NimbRo robot already started to kick when it was hit from behind.

NimbRo was bigger
and Team Osaka's goalkeeper was half the time away from where the ball was near the goal
this is really astonishing..
Maybe the keeper could save it. Anyway it was a fair match IMHO. Congrutulations Nimbro. With your dribbling talent team osaka doesn't have a chance.
awesome 7:35
What could happen if a guy in the public had an orange T-shirt ? : )
They see the blue and yellow backdrops in the goals.
cool
Nice
Vgos are pretty accurate
The last goal was pure luck. But it was like a real goal. The sum of every robot's moves leaded to that goal.
Three cameras.

Robot Seizure lololoolol!

en serio? nadie los maneja por control ni nada? waooo
que salvaje yo quisiera ir a verlos de verdad pero no puedo solo aqui puedo verlos :-(
The way they stand up is creepy. In 20 years, Judgment day.....
the year before is better... these robots spend more than half the time to get up from falling =-_-=
wow this is so hilarious
i love these things hahahha
kind of creepy
That's morbid...
i'd nail em.. but first id make them human size :D
I already knew computers are useless :/
lo unico q me gusto es como se ponen de pie lo demas esta tonto XD
