- Segundo día de pesca en Sal, son los primeros 10 minutos de la jornada y recojo bastante rápido, se nota que acabamos de empezar y aun no me duele nada, cuando me paran el jig y algo se zarandea sin mucha contundencia al otro lado...tarda unos segundos en darse cuenta de que algo tira de ella y en demostrar de que pez se trata y como de grande va a ser. Hasta la fecha, es la serviola dumerili mas grande que jamás pesqué.
El amberjack es mi pez preferido, le tengo una estima especial, es combativo en todo momento y aparece en cualquier mar de la tierra.
El equipo que utilizo no es especialmente potente, pero si lo suficiente para frenarlo y subirlo a bordo.
Rod: Tica JigStar JS-GA165S 150gr
Reel: Penn Spinfisher 5500
Braid: Duel Hardcore 8x 50lbs
Leader: Duel PowerLeader 70lbs

Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.

I bought the Slammer VI 10500 last year and its a beast. Holds a ton of line and 50+ lbs of drag. can not go full drag on stand up in the boat though. tried it and almost pulled me over.

Oye pero haces jigjign con ese rell cuando no es indicado pues su rodamiento es lento y otra es chico tu reel y otra que línea usaste para ese pez? Eres un genio hermano y yo tengo miedo usar un reel tan pequeño y como para esa pesca uso un daiwa saltis 6500 y ese penn spinficher ssv 5500 usarlo en costa y tu lo usas fácilmente en altar mar TE FELICITO
Gracias Jehu! Es un carrete muy potente en cuanto a freno y cuerpo. Siempre y cuando le entren los metros necesarios para pescar a jigging, en este caso 250m, es más que suficiente para levantar peces muy grandes.

Depende de que carrete y que diámetro de hilo pongamos. En el del video concretamente entraban unos 200-250m se 50lb.

Barbanegra Fishing es demasiado corto para pescar desde rocas. Es un equipo específico de jigging desde embarcación.

verga the Spinfisher 5500, in both V and VI versions, is a great reel. If you are going to fish with lines of more than 50lb, I recommend the 6500, since it has more line capacity. It also depends on the depth at which you want to fish. 6500 can fit 300m 80lb, 5500 can fit less than 200m 80lb.

Fernando yo usaría el 4500 de Slammer o del mismo spinfisher. Tienen capacidad para meter 250-300m de 0’21-0’23mm que para combatir esos peces es suficiente ya que no necesitas frenarlos en pocos metros.

The Daiwa BG is an affordable Daiwa range and therefore will not be as robust. The Penn Spinfisher, is a very hard and very cheap reel. I would definitely choose the spinfisher.
@@DanyBigGame i already bought spinfisher v5500 but i wondered if i made the right choice, i didn't bought the new spinfisher vi because it does not have the slammer drag system , thanks for reply
kouki_tv The spinfisher VI is lighter and has a more progressive brake than the V. Perhaps it is not as powerful as the V, but the fact is that the V was too powerful to brake, so much so that when fully closed it would break any line you put on it. Penn has removed the V brake system to reduce weight and to achieve a more suitable brake.
