Roads in Cold deserts are still manageable .... I think real test of offroading would be the Himalayan roads of extreme NorthEast as seen in so many blogs by BikerTrips TravelBloggs in Assam-Arunachal Circuits during Monsoon....

For those who never travelled to a cold desert, Please don't get carried away by seeing breathtaking views with adrenaline booster music. Doing Spiti & Laddakh kind of terrain is nerve-racking and it takes immense courage to drive at such roads and you literally feel a lack of breath. You will feel a constant headache and even any small body movements consume your hell lot of energy. ProTip: Get a Smoker to walk for 500 meters there and he/she will leave smoking... ;) 😀

There are people out there who want to do such trips and have money and a little bit of time but they are not very comfortable doing road trips in India due to safety concerns. Do also include any safety things that need to be considered while planning the trips. Safety at place and roads and people in those areas.

people face headache because of the gaining altitude , so to avoid headache try to get acclimatize to the area or the region you are visiting by spending 1 or 2 days , in that way you can enjoy your ride

Just passing these places is fine for me. It happened due to 18 hours of camping at 17500 feet which is infamous for low oxygen.
