When it comes to timing the charge, he charges late because he wants to give the hussars time to build up speed before he hits charge (which he does by xing them through). They lower their lances very fast and their damage is just dependant on their speed when they contact the enemy.
Yes, but mainly for players not beeing able to stop me charging-if there was a musket unit and i charged 50M before them, they would stop my charge, but if i start charging right before them, they wont have time to shoot me apart :)
@@EvoLozGaming Well that sucks, but I sing the song in my head every time I see the Winged Hussars in Conqueror's Blade so I can still listen to it during the video 😜
CHARGE DISTANCE: if there was a musket unit and i charged very early, the would shoot at the hussars for a long time. If i charge r before the hussars contact, the enemies wont have the time to stop my hussars from charging , so thats why+ enemies might see the charge coming and might prepare their hero stunning abilities or might move their units away
I know a song that would go perfect with this it's called "winged hussars" by a band called "sabaton" I listen to this metal band all day everyday Edit: great video I always enjoy these
You don't have to start the charge of hussars as early as monastics. But how late he charged them is kinda pushing it to the limit. Because their charge is the most damaging after they get their lances down and pick up speed. I've got sprint on them, so what I do is, I get them grouped up, start moving, sprint, charge, kill, get out
I know it's been mentioned, but I am always waiting for someone to use the Sabaton song as the video title. Yes, Winged Hussars! Brings a smile to my face seeing this :) On these wings we ride to glory!
I stopped playing this game 1,5 years ago bc I was too addicted lmao. Did they manage to upgrade the servers and improve the performance of the game since then? It was really fun back in the days and I'm thinking of coming back for some nostalgic feelings xD I also wonder if the dominating units are still the same lol (liaos, hussars, namkhans, ...)
Performance still tends to be a bit hit or miss sometimes, balance changes quite a lot really, sometimes good sometimes bad, namkhans still good but not as op as they once were, liao actually just got buff XD
X'ing into the enemy formation can help with pathing and making a more solid cluster especially for the hussars' already scattered formation. Charging last minute can bait unit and hero abilities and effectively maneuver if enemies attempt to avoid the charge. Cataphracts and Monastics have the "Long distance charging" unit trait which provides them with a longer charge distance & duration as well as increased damage per charge distance which makes these units more effective at charging earlier.
I think the reason he does that is so they don't hear the loud charge sound when you use the charge order, letting time for them to react the way he does it
a simple test is evo to take various lance cavs and test their charge accelaration I think speed stat is a modifier of this faster cavs takes shorter time to reach the speed threshold to be in charge enabled speed limit. I know this because if you use a speed doctorine in monastics or selemchids the active speed doctorine i mean the one with cooldown then you will hear unit starting to do warcries and sounds as if the unit is charging. If simply you charge with a unit and pay attention in slow mo the time it takes for unit to switch stance to a charging mode is actually differs from cav to cav like keshigs almost instant hussars super fast in dropping their lance while monastics take a good time. Another thing is charge intteruption. Saying is "If you don't charge with your cav you will never get intterupted(insert the black man 200iq meme)" so by charging with your unit who has speeding up already you both get the unit to go charge mode quicker and prevent them from getting intterupted. It's riskier move but a pro one. I still think move speed stat whether it gets affected by buffs or slows(like musket cultraps or landsharks 3 ability or anything that slows a unit), will also slow the turn speed of the unit whereas faster units get sharper turns because of it.
i think that until the last charge where he forced a little bit, whats the video showcase is some mad skill navigating the cabs, still think that at least for now there other cabs like catafract that in those same charge wouldve done a much better job, hussar needs a lot of cooking time before you can charge them, you need to build up some speed get them to follow you untill they make sort of a short formation, and charge coldown are too long for the last seasons when youve got sigrun guards and varegas that can make a power play and clean up a potin in just a few seconds
I thought he used hussar great, picked small skirmish to start and helped the point when needed. The amount of time hussar need to charge matters little I think, they just need somewhere to go after the charge, preferably not a wall.
I think I know the reason why he charges so late, its so they don't end up getting stopped in their tracks and get dogpiled on, be it by the javs or muskets or the heroes themselves. Thats my guess anyway.
nice video :)...this game need one more unit the Camel cavalry...it can beat both cavalry and infantry...it migh be fun to play them...i could also like the war elephants but that not gonna fit in CB and it gonna be OP...so Camels only for now 😂😂 Update: after 3 weeks since this comment was made i think we will have Camel units in season 14 loooool
great unit play, Probably should just be more involved with the dual blades after the hussars charge. 60 seconds until they're useful again, so go ahead and chop down some heroes in the meantime! also, not having the shuriken throw on dual blades is insane.
I've actually been going with Grim Harvest, Bec De Corbin, Weapon Dance and Lochaber Strike. Its not as good as the annoying (for other players, ESPECIALLY longswords) near infinite CC combo of Push Back and Old Billhook plus Bec and either ults, but with this combo I can reduce not only my opponent's defense by 20% for 5 seconds but also reduce their attack by 25% plus their movement speed by 25% for 5 seconds while also reducing my damage taken by 3.5% for 5 seconds and stacking that up to 10 times which can make me really really tanky and dish out some more damage in return.
I would love to see a buff to winged hussars cause they have always been one of my favorite looking and sounding units. Love the flavor and accurate historical representation. Halberdier sgts. are another one i would love to see get a REAL SIGNIFICANT buff not just 400 hp lol. mygames buffs either break the unit or don't help them at all. hahaha
Game is now in state Piece of the biggest shit ever. Played over 2 years and now i am done ,its dying after 2 years nothing new, No new servers, not any perfomance update from devs and blance out of window bleh
Ok what should i improve, wut would u do better? Charge distance: if there was a musket unit and i charged very early, the would shoot at the hussars for a long time. If i charge r before the hussars contact, the enemies wont have the time to stop my hussars from charging , so thats why+ enemies might see the charge coming and might prepare their hero stunning abilities or might move their units away
@@Arxlikestorunxd It's not the charge distance, i agree their charge is almost instant if they are in motion. Where you press X is the problem, sometimes some of the hussars stop for a little and lose their speed, when they start charging it takes a little while longer, it is not instant like it should (they do not have enough inertia, not enough speed built up). Basically you want them to be at their fastest pace when mosing with X, you need a bit of distance. You go towards a unit and press X not near them or before the unit, you place the X well after that unit - like you would want your hussars to go through them, once they get near enough → you smash the charge. I know you can charge them right before the impact, that's their trick actually :) But you do need a little bit of a small distance just so the first row of hussars hit aswell

I dislike it when players seem to care more about scoring points than ensuring the game is won.
My camera has been zoomed in all stupid like that since one of the first updates of the season... I can zoom out while in a city but not in battles.
