6:11 giannis eats Horford up everytime they play. Only time giannis gets stopped by him it’s either when they triple team him or refs let Horford get away with punching him in the face. Horford is known around the league as “Giannis 1st son”
Did you watch any series vs the Celtics? Horford has always been a problem for the Bucks. Yes, Giannis 1-1 vs Horford would probably eat his lunch, but acting like Horford didn't have big time moments and make a huge impact in their Dubs over the Bucks is wildly disingenuous.
@ he doesn’t change the game at all. Giannis bullies him every time they play. The Celtics triple team Giannis and dare other players to beat them with or without Horford. And the ONLY play that’s memorable of Horford vs the bucks in the playoffs was when he elbowed giannis in the face and left him bleeding with no call. I get that might be your favorite team and you like him but realistically he’s inviting giannis to score 45 every time. Lastly the bucks being injured was more of a factor in why the bucks lost to the Celtics in the playoffs than Horford was.
@@mikejano5250 Easy to have good moments when all your teammates are all-star caliber and you are always free for wide open shots or driving to the basket.
@@mikejano5250 That's exactly my point. Horford at 36 could put up 30 because his teammates are Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Derrick White,Jrue Holiday, and Payton Prichard who he can all pick and pop with for 3s or roll to the basket and when they collapse the defense and swing-swing the ball he is usually wide open.
Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged 33.9 points, 14.7 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 7 games against the Celtics in the 2022 Eastern Conference Semifinals (source: statmuse). He was the first series to average more than 200 points and I don't remember how many rebounds and assists during that series. I would say that's pretty good "against Boston". The problem MIL has against Boston is not Giannis not playing well, it's everybody else not showing up. Boston managed to shut down the perimeter. In that series, MIL was without Khris and the backcourt was shooting 17% from three. The fact that the series went to 7 games was nothing short of a miracle and if it wasn't for the best game Tatum had in the playoffs (G6 of that series in MIL with MIL leading 3-2) Boston would have been eliminated.
Giannis is shooting though. More so than he has in his career and is one of the league leaders with attempts and efficiency which is crazy. How the hell y’all miss that.
Imagine know exactly how a player is going to score: In the paint. You load it up, and still can't stop him. Wild. Also this narrative that "he's not going to shoot"... Giannis is shooting 45+% from midrange. That narrative is over. He's 6'11, handling the rock, drawing the attention and kicking out/or dunking. Pray for good health!
what would have stopped the Bucks was a healthy Orlando Magic team. missing Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Johnathan Isaac weren't there and they still almost won.
Speaking of the play they are talking about at around @3:38 Goga didn't commit all the way to Dame because bobby was alone in the corner. Lets say dame wasn't aggresive and he thought goga would actually commit to him and he threw it corner to bobby. That would have been a steal and looked at like a great defensive play(Would have been) . Go back and watch.
As a Celtics fan I watched Giannis almost single-handedly beat us in 2022 without his costar, right after we swept kd and kyrie😂Giannis is the best player in the world, we are just a much better team , that’s why we always beat the bucks😂
Lmao what do y'all consider stopping? Giannis has never dropped 50 on the Celtics in the playoffs, and always ends up having issues with our defense cause of his limited play. As a Celtics fan who the only time we actually lost to them was with Kyrie guarding Giannis and when jaylen brown was out that playoffs year, y'all capping hard. Not saying Giannis isn't top 3 but acting like the Celtics ain't had his number for years is wild
