Neil Degrasse Tyson did a beautiful job of "peer reviewing" his treatise and offering notes where his theories were wrong. Very professional and a real look into how the review process works . Howard was butt-hurt over it.

Math is the way it is because it works. It is referencing a general structure and pattern to the universe, but mathematics is first and foremost a conceptual tool. Current math works. That in and of itself gives it legitimacy.

I think that there might be something to what Howard is saying. Not only about 1×1 not equaling 1. But also we have been taught that a negative number times by another negative number equals a positive number. Something aint right here. Math aint mathing anymore..
Well this is how our society is ran, which is part of what Howard is preaching. If, for example, you take two equal sums of negative dollars or debt and multiply it... those negatives become positive. Someone profits. Likely not you. :P

We have been taught that it always will be a negative amount no matter is the positive number is more than the negative number. It really doesn't make sense when you really think about it.
