He got what he needed - a necessary shift back towards the ideals he was fighting for and away from hardships, crulties, and problems. For a good person, one's own sacrifice means less than that of the people one cares for. This good Powder had a safe life already; his Jinx still had a chance now with him going back even more so with her sister still alive. Jayce was once again alone, to figure it out and push through all the hardships, to deal with a world, an outcome that would crush anyone's resolve, only to be asked to kill his best friend to prevent that devastating fate. He was alone, had to struggle to survive, only to be tasked with an even harder decision.

Honestly I still have Hope that they can still be together... If they continue to make Arcane and an Avengers: Endgame like battle where all the characters unite to take down the real threat in Runaterra When jinx reunites with Vi and Caitlyn when she reunites with Ekko I praying for both of them to confess their feelings more than Ekko did in the final episode and they kiss. Jinx needs peace in her life and to prove to everyone she is a hero.
