This show, the episode A Matter of Evidence, was the first old time radio cassette my grandmother got me as a kid, so having just subscribed to your channel after listening to the Richard Diamond marathon, this was the first alert that my phone sent. I'm 35 years old. If someone told me a decade ago I'd be listening to a recording of the original Green Hornet radio show on TH-cam I'd be in shock because I had assumed such things were lost to the sands of time. And as a fan of the 60s Green Hornet show I've never been more happy to be wrong.
I love how these radio shows help us exercise the "theatre of the mind", just like audio books, even while we're doing other things. And I love all the old heroes, like The Shadow and of course the Green Hornet! 😊
I think the best thing about it is that he actively leverages that - Batman and the Punisher, for example, have to avoid the law, or fight them as well as criminals, but the Green Hornet uses his status both to make bad guys talk to him on their level and to make links in the eyes of the police between himself and his targets.
if remember rightly they read made this in the late 60s didn't they with bruce lee playing the assistant and i forgot the name of the guy who played the green hornet i think i'm right i remember the car because i have weather miniature not obviously not full sa artist busy can be a treat listen to this thank you
You are correct about the 60's series - late actor Van Williams was the Green Hornet and Bruce Lee was beside him as "Kato". They also appeared on Adam West's Batman series - I was only 8 then but loved this! Thanks for posting this radio series - something else to appreciate!
