I am not a fan of Sepultura and that kind of music, but I have to say this drummer is out of this world. Super powerful and precise. I could listen to this video at least once every day until the end of TH-cam

And entering the real world of professional bands is not easy, even though or maybe because he was such a fantastic young musician.

Just saw Sepultura at the Paramount in NY opening for Testament. This guy blew me away. Just ferocious drumming. I was in awe. My new favorite drummer.

I think you're right, but his style comes from what Igor did with Sepultura. I would say it's one of those situations where the student surpasses the master.

São as notas fracas que, na grande maioria das vezes, são feitas na caixa da bateria, elas são feitas de maneira bem sutil, erguendo bem pouco a baqueta, é algo usado bastante em funk, jazz, soul, às vezes no rock, já no metal é raro de se ver porque, como metal é um som pesado, fica difícil de ouvir essas ghost notes, porém se o baterista tem o costume de fazer, pode incrementar essa técnica sem problemas
He is an EXCEPTIONAL drummer but there is no reason to compare him to Igor. Igor is an icon and they bring different flavours to Sepultura which I love.

Daaaaaamn, this guy is a real beast! Just from this one video, I can tell he's up there with Blake Richardson, Matt Garstka, Matt Halpern, and Alex Rudinger as among the best drummers in metal right now. His technique is on point, his latin rhythms are just awesome, he knows when to back off and when to really bring himself out...it definitely seems like he's been around the kit for a long time. Looks like I have me some research to do :)
