I'm a new Eve player and found this guide really helpful! I know this video is a year old, but I could not make it work with the power grid, copying the video piece by piece. Was the power grid stat on this ship or modules used here changed since this was made? Even with Power Grid Module and Standard M crystals only, I had to lose the Battery to even get the ship online.
That's possibly a skills issue. Powergrid Management (engineering) boosts ship powergrid by 5% per level. Advanced Weapons Upgrades (engineering) reduces powergrid needs of weapons by 2% per level. Even with both of those maxed out I still had to fit a powergrid rig on this fit(!) It's a super tight fit and I should have remembered that not everybody has max skills lol. One easy fix would be to replace all the guns with "Focused Modulated Medium Energy Beam I", which would only lose you a bit of DPS (down from 422 to 359) and range (down from 19/32 to 16/26) but you'd gain some tracking speed for accuracy (up to 19.02 from 14.94) Then you'd have plenty of powergrid and CPU to spare! You may then be able to not need the powergrid rig and could replace that with something like a "Medium Energy Discharge Elutriation I" to help with the capacitor life...😎😎
