10/15 is one of my favourite exchanges in the film as it completely exposes 7 as the spineless sheep that he is. As detestable as 3’s beliefs and opinions are, at the very least his conviction can be respected; he remains steadfast in his own reasonings. 7 is just going along with the crowd and has not contributed anything of worth to the conversation. 11 is the first to rightfully challenge this behaviour and immediately brings the full content of 7’s character to light: a drifter that just wants to leave, with no interest in the outcome. Brilliant.

I disagree. To begin with, we have no proof that 7 doesn't believe what he's saying. I'm the type of guy who hates it when people get aggressive or get in my face for something they think I thought, I'd have no desire whatsoever to answer him, and I'd probably say either "My own business" or a dismissive "Figure it out yourself". I fully give 7 the benefit of the doubt.
3's beliefs and opinions are detestable, and his conviction is not to be respected. At all. Not all convictions are respectable.

Fair enough my friend, it’s a very layered film told from many different perspectives so it’s a certainty that disagreements would arise.
However, I would put forth that there is no need for proof as to what 7 is thinking. He made it very clear from the outset that his mind was elsewhere (on the game) and that he wanted it to be over with so he could leave as soon as possible. From that I think it’s fair to infer that he was simply going with the popular consensus in order to quicken the process, evidenced by his extremely minimal and inane contributions to the discourse throughout the film. 11 rightly confronts him about his sudden change to not guilty, in a dignified albeit confrontational manner (which I would argue is more than justified given the life and death stakes) and 7’s response is far from adequate, offering no substantial justification for his sudden change, which to me was a clear unravelling of his lack of interest or engagement with his duty as a juror. To me, that is an utterly shameless display of apathy.
You’re not wrong about 3. However, I still stand by my modicum of respect for his position, as he at the very least has the brass to stick to his guns, as downright abhorrent as they are. His shift to not guilty at the climax was the most satisfying because he revealed his own folly; the vulnerability he’d been hiding with his hyper masculine facade. This of course does not absolve him of his heinous behaviour, but it does give us a glimpse at the broken man underneath it all; the very last shreds of empathy that he’d kept buried underneath anguish, seep through the cracks of his pride and finally, arrive at the moral conclusion.

Agreed. Even 10 has more integrity and he's a racist. True his beliefs are disgusting but they're genuinely his beliefs. He votes guilty because despite whatever his twisted logic may be, he genuinely believes this kid is a murderer. When 7 votes guilty, he does so without caring about whether or not he's helping send an innocent kid to die and when he votes not guilty, he does it without caring about whether or not he's letting a murderer go back out onto the streets. And that selfishness and lack of care is what makes 7 the worst of them all in my opinion

I like how juror 11 is the one who says “the sensitivity I can understand” being a foreigner and probably faces the same kind of bigoted comments on a frequent basis

I always remembered the scene at 3:30 because it reflects what has gradually eroded over the last forty years...RESPECT. Juror # 6 showed that he valued the opinion of the old man and was right in threatening # 3. What a great cast!

Watching this courtroom drama film really brings out interesting segments and discussions inside the jury room.

You know with number 10 they see it as #7 being exposed for the spineless man he is. And I’m not saying that’s wrong I still think his main concern is leaving. But I do feel it’s good to mention that not only did his change happen after the storm when his games is possibly washed out and that near the final act he actually starts paying attention in the final scenes he doesn’t talk so hard to see but in the final arguments he’s for once paying full attention.
He also progressively stops the quips, at the start though centred around leaving his still one of the guilty side and argues it tries to push it on 8 but as time goes by it lessens and all his quips are purely around killing time and leaving, I’d argue 7 did change mind but that didn’t change his view, ie 7 at the start wanted to leave and it was an open and shut case so guilty, as things went on, evidence changed and he wasn’t sure anymore so and he doesn’t care to defend a position he votes where the most evidence lies so as it builds for not guilty he’s not guilty, changing position but never priority

    In order, best first:
    1- Henry Fonda
2- Spanish movie version with the song from The Animals...The house of the raising sun.
    3- G.C.Scott
    4- Others
    This is my opinion.
