I remember in the UK that my TV Tyne tees just showed the 7 network sign after the episode finished cliffhanger I don't know why or did all itv regions do it because it was longer time maybe not sure
From 1993, all ITV regions screened the cut down credits, which were 5 seconds. Carlton edited the episodes and distributed them to all regions. Most regions took a networked feed, however some regions (who aired episodes at different times) still used the edited version supplied by Carlton. Basically all regions got the same version regardless of the time they scheduled the show.
@@boldbeautifulau ah I wondered if it was all regions. In Granada region the cut played only the last 6 notes and the "Ooooo, OOOOOOOOOOO". It was shoddy treatment of the show because we never saw any of the crew credits or "bit " character credits for many years because of that. How they famously just dumped the series suddenly without any acknowledgement of the viewers it had brought over the years was very poor behaviour by such a large, national broadcaster.

I miss the opening and closing credits. All we have these days is that ridiculous two or three second ident and that horrible international closing that hasn't been updated in a few years. The cheek 😕🙄.

I watched on RTE too. Do you remember in 2000 when RTE accidentally overtook the Seven Network in Australia by a handful of episodes ?
@@boldbeautifulau I never realized that happened. I'd that why for a time home and away in Ireland went from 5 to 3 episodes a week?

For some reason they ditched the closing credits in the uk. And just ended with the sax and the H&A logo.
