He is 33 years old but appears to be in his twenties. Give him more love please because he deserves it. When you search for him, you will find everything that dazzles you with the things he has done and will do
He does it all, a man of many traits! I'm so glad I found Jay Park. 🔥🔥🔥 K-Rap is one of the dopest Genres in the world! I can't believe it took me this long to find out about it.
The way the K-Pop industry works is that major companies/managements/labels (they pretty much are all the same thing) either cast people from the streets or make auditions in various countries to find new talents. Those proceed to go under so called artist development for a few years and get proper training in all these things. Singing dancing rapping etc this stage of training under the company is hella strict. Literally the fucking military cuz they get taken out of their families and live in an apartment with other trainees and work with them from early in the morning 6/7am till like 11/12pm in the night. They live off of their company and have to pay all the money that was spent on them throughout those years back once they debut as a group which is not always given. It could very well be that you train for a couple years and the company says no thanks it doesn’t work and kick you out. Cuz the trainees are under constant competition with each other. There is a points system for everything they do. The better you are in your classes the faster you learn a choreography or the faster you loose weight and have an eye on your diet (which is given to you by the company as well if needed) the more points you score. The ones with the lowest points have to leave. They check every month. Once you debut and become an idol things don’t get better initially. Jay said there were times were he worked from 7 or 6am till 4am in the morning and had only time to take a shower and leave again for their next schedule because it was so packed with photoshootings TV appearances and performances etc that he barely had time to eat yet alone sleep. And that shit is still like this nowadays. Some companies are more strict than others and some things have gotten better but the overall system is the same for any K-Pop star you see today.
That’s insane, I’m glad he overcame all of that and now he’s doing well for himself. Within these last few days of reacting to him, I learned a whole lot about him.
JEFFmcontent well he overcame it by not being part of that industry anymore he was luck that he got the exposure and fanbase he got for that one year that he was an idol and managed to stay relevant because that initial fanbase gave him the views at the beginning of his solo career and that‘s how other companies kept their interest. I mean him leaving that boygroup was literally the biggest scandal on korean entertainment in 2010. so he had a good starting point and managed to shift his focus from kpop to rnb/hip hop and STILL be relevant. That shift is so hard to make if not pretty much impossible for most ex idols idk how he managed that. That’s a whole 180 yet he‘s still here haha
Feli true that, your so right, I don’t know to many artist who could do what he has done. That just goes to show you that anything and everything is possible if you set your mind to it and stay motivated
JEFFmcontent I guess that‘s true. Personal I struggle a lot with believing in that even though I know it must be true. That’s why Jay is such a role model to me as well as for other reasons. He really puts in work and it’s tough and he talked several times about how alone he feels because he has a huge responsibility as a CEO of 2 labels and co owner of 2 restaurants as well as other businesses for so many people and artists and his family. He is also the type of guy to befriend people and actually work with them from human to human so most of his „business partners“ are his homies or people he becomes close with over time so it‘s even tougher. He feels like he is always taking care of everyone and making sure they get their food on the plate and a place to live in while building their careers and getting paid but he doesn‘t know who will take care of him once needed. Cuz so far he took care of himself but one can only do so much. Yet he is full of positive energy and never shows his struggles in the moment. He hints at it in retrospective.
Feli that really amazes me because honestly there’s not to many people in the world like him anymore. He has a heart of gold if he’s done all that up until now. I didn’t even know he owned restaurants as well. That’s good he’s making investments and not just wasting everything on cars and jewelry and unnecessary things
Jay park the classic. Nice reaction. Hope you can keep doing korean hip hop reactions videos. There are too many reaction vids thats based on kpop and kinda sick of thaf.
