First, he released the grand cross after he spiritually awoke, and the Belmont crest shown on his back is a grand cross surrounded by flames, just like what he did. Its was the beginning theme of rondo of blood for pc engine, where you play richter.... the predecessor for symphony of the night. If you heard it in castlevania 64 it has been reused, but it was richters theme, and its just perfect for the series.
Specifically, this track is "Divine Bloodlines" from Rondo of Blood, aka Richter's theme. The track from Castlevania 64 is titled "Opposing Bloodlines", which borrows heavily from Divine Bloodlines to create a much more haunting and eerie track, as befits Castlevania 64's more survival horror style. I love both renditions of that melody for different reasons, but let's be real. The Castlevania series is among the best as far as soundtracks are concerned.
There are people saying that the changes to certain characters completely ruins the show. While I do agree some changes and certain plot points were unnecessary, to say it completely ruins the show is kinda overblown. Does it have its flaws, oh most definitely, but I enjoyed nearly every second of this show. Cuz it’s chock full of kick ass scenes like this one. Can’t wait for season 2!!!
I’ll never stop rewatching this scene. The soundtrack, the fluidity in the movements, Richter’s eye contact. Everything about this gets me hyped every time! Excited to see more of the fighting choreography in the next season!
Grand Cross and Fire Whip have been unlocked. Bathory only managed to walk away because Richter didn't know the rest of his Item Crashes. When he finally trains, probably under Juste, he will be the pride of the Belmont line...until he isn't. But we won't talk about that yet...
That may not happen. The story of the games only applies to this adaptation in broad strokes, since Dracula being alive and good bins half of the plot. And you're right about the Crashes. Erzebet: "Will you... just stop it!? You've already cast [mockingly] HYDRO STORM [annoyed] eighty-seven times! I know. I counted!"

Its sad though to think about it. This was the same MAGIC that left grandpa belmont when he lost the love of his life. Imagine you being depressed for decades only to see your magic glow from your descendant, you're like "its beaaautiful" 😢 But i am confident grandpa belmont is leagues superior to using it in comparison to the present belmont.
I just realized that Richter isn't even using hand signs here. I don't know if hand signs actually help draw out power like they do in say, Naruto, but since every other speaker uses them I have to assume so. If that is the case, Richter is just straight up obliterating vampires with nothing but raw power. Which is absurd.
I think even more impressive than the fact that this is just raw power is that it's also just pure instinct. Gotta remember his career as a vampire hunter has been reliant entirely on martial prowess since he lost his magic, and this is style of magic is a bit different than other styles since he's basically just taken his martial skills and enhanced them with magic, so he's fighting entirely with gut instinct here and completely demolishing
Yeah, and if it's anything like the games, both he and Juste perform magic in said martial manners, amplifying either Vampire Killer or in Richter's case, performing the "Item Crash", an ability that makes whatever sub-weapon he has on-hand just... better. Then there's Grand Cross which is actually what he did there when he broke free. That's just straight-up pure magic really I'll admit 😂
More like Rondo Of Blood, Dracula X was an attempt by Konami to “port” the TG16 game to SNES they also made it unnecessarily difficult in the process. If you haven’t played it you should go through the trouble and check it out Rondo Of Blood is still one of the best 2D Castlevania games. Also Opus 13 rules!!!
It totally brings a tear to my eyes to hear that Divine Bloodlines. I feel so nostalgic for watching this series. It brings me back to playing the game, as well.
Because of black vampires and race swapping. People mostly complain about that. I don’t care because they made these characters well written. Loved nocturne.
@@absynthe5640 Let me guess, their worst offender is Annette ? She was a super pale damsel in distress with barely any other background than "Richter's girlfriend" in two of the games she appeared in. Oh and she was also turned into a vampire in a third one. Barely any background, again. The Annette in the show is much deeper and interesting. She's conflicted, she has strengths and flaws.
Alucard will be mopping the floor against everyone except for Ezrebet for obvious reasons. Season 2 will be wilding.
The music was so on point, it gave me chills
The Belmonts are a family of badasses.
The headband lifting his hair to uncover his two eyes to symbolize the full sight he now has of himself… man, that’s pure art right there.
Just want to getting castlevania on Netflix more and more
0:31 Richter Belmont is badass!
Using the original soundtrack from the game here was genius
Was watching this on the train and I almost screamed when divine bloodlines started playing. Throwback to my childhood
I’ll never stop rewatching this scene. The soundtrack, the fluidity in the movements, Richter’s eye contact. Everything about this gets me hyped every time! Excited to see more of the fighting choreography in the next season!
At 0:10 you can hear the SFX of the crosses from SOTN
Oh my god, i never noticed that😮. Thank you for pointing that out, that just made me love this scene even more
Grand Cross and Fire Whip have been unlocked.
I know. I counted!"

Trevor and Sypha: "THAT OUR DESCENDANT!!!"
Bro got it from nowhere but the music made the Castlevania fan in me happy so 🎉
Its sad though to think about it. This was the same MAGIC that left grandpa belmont when he lost the love of his life.
Imagine you being depressed for decades only to see your magic glow from your descendant, you're like "its beaaautiful" 😢
But i am confident grandpa belmont is leagues superior to using it in comparison to the present belmont.
The music in this scene is perfect. The whole franchise is like that.
This is the moment Richter really became Treffy
Man i love seening magic being used as an enhancement to martial arts
Richter showing off what looks like the distillation of Trevor and Syphas fighting styles is fucking sweet
I mean, as far a one-liners go, "Fuck it" is fine with me.
He did say something witty, cutting, and brutal.
Now, we need the theme song netflix😂
The soundtrack releases on Oct 6th
@@Metalorain which page or link please dude
It’s on Apple Music now
It's on Spotify, TH-cam and Apple Music.
Great observation. He straight up wielded magic instinctively.
Hand signs better control the magic power like Sypha Belnades.
@@mieastraCome to think of it, I think Juste was the first practitioner of the Grand Cross and Hydro Storm.
his great grand mother must be tickled pink seeing her great grand son using magic
*Ancestor. Yes, I’m sure Sypha is proud.
THIS is the Ricther we should've gotten in Smash Bros
Kazuya Mishima been killed by this Richter than Jin Kazama.
Not satisfied with your multidimensional range yet?
No it isn't. This is generic anime garbage.
Fucking yes!!!
I lost it when the Dracula X theme came on
Divine bloodlines
More like Rondo Of Blood, Dracula X was an attempt by Konami to “port” the TG16 game to SNES they also made it unnecessarily difficult in the process. If you haven’t played it you should go through the trouble and check it out Rondo Of Blood is still one of the best 2D Castlevania games. Also Opus 13 rules!!!

My top 3 Netflix Castlevania songs: bloody tears, divine bloodlines, and trevor-vs-death fight song
It totally brings a tear to my eyes to hear that Divine Bloodlines. I feel so nostalgic for watching this series. It brings me back to playing the game, as well.
This is the moment the real Richter Belmont was born
Im calling it now, Juste gets his powers back to save his remaining loved one, Richter.
I was gonna say something awe inspiring and how beautifully made this scene is, but fuck it. 🥶🥵
When the soundtrack hits is just wow. I'm so glad I didn't give up on this show during episode 2 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I really hope they have the "What is a man" scene in season 2.
Juste is a proud grandfather 😊😊😊😊😊
How do people not like this show? This is fucking fun
If that's what makes some people say the show is "woke" and "ruined it" as I've been reading in comments elsewhere on Nocturne related videos, that's... pathetic.
People dislike the forced political agenda in the show not the show itself. The creator of the Netflix series is notorious in woke creation series.
Because this shit is absolutely nothing like the games. This is just generic anime nonsense.
@@thehermit8723 "forced" political agenda really should have nothing to do with it. The juvenile edgy dialogue and generic anime crap is plenty reason enough.
Nothing about this is Castlevania.
This scene was done to perfection and truly shows how much the creators love the games. So many easter eggs, and getting his hairband, withe the theme, grand cross. Just *chefs kiss*
I got chills the moment I heard the drums hitting to the beat of "Divine Bloodlines"
Your powers have finally awakened. Well done, Richter Belmont! 😄😄😄😄
I get goosebumps every time i rewatch this scene, so hype! Love the transition between ice and fire magic with Richter; Sypha's inherited magic is still as strong as ever!
1:57 I love how they approached the proverbial one-liner.

I love how they made his fire blue. ❤
"I WENT TO JULLIARD, RICHTER"!

Well, around this scene i got invested for reeaaal in this new series.
Ah yes, Richter. Perfect mix between Sypha and Trevor. He's not as good at fighting as Trevor, but he's WAY more versatile than either of his parents

Holy moly such an epic scene, loved it!
There we go, the peak of the Belmont's power right here. The (arguable) peak of the Belmont Legacy right here.
That Ritcher's theme rocks.
"There's something you forgot aboul Belmonts... we kill vampires"
0:51 you can't fuck with that pose.
