When I went for Hajj, I thought I would be among Arab worshippers, but the majority were pious - and I mean pious-Africans. As I passed by and saw them worshiping, I prayed, Ya Answer their du’a! Each time.

According to the Quran, satan was the first person to display racism towards a black man! The chapter of the Quran named Al-hijr, verse 33, tells us, that Adam was created from "hama" [black mud/clay; hence, the name Ham, the grandfather of African peoples, is derived from the same root word]! When the Creator ordered the angels to show respect and honor Adam, by bowing to him, satan refused, declaring "I'm better him"! he added, he is not to bow to a human "created from black mud/clay"! This is why satan was forever cursed and kicked out of heavenly grace and mercy! And, this is how the battle between good and evil started (also explains why racism is so pervasive, even in Africa, and is the foundation of today's satanic world order)!

First of all I want to say masha Allah and Barakat Allah feeke sister and may Allah grant you blessings; But WHY bring race into Islam? In all my 65+ years I never thought of there being differences in skin color with my ummah, with my brothers and sisters in Islam, and that is the true beauty of the deen, I did not even know( and I wish I did not know) that Hajar was of dark skin and WHY should we care? Skin color has absolutely NOTHING in our ummah sister, we are all one, please remember that. This country(US) has a long ways to go with race relations but my goodness, it has no place in Islam and we should not even mention skin color. I grew up in a Muslim country, we saw no differences even though we were of many skin color, just as in Haj. So please we are ONE ummah and we best not even think of talking about skin color that is Haraam because we are all one humanity
May Allah grant all khayre and blessings Ameen Ya Rub Alalameen

Salam Alaikum! Although you may not be racist, this does not mean this issue is not present in our Ummah. Unfortunately, this does happen. Racism is a serious issue amongst the Arab community. Racism is wrong from anyone, before someone comments that. No one said it's not. Anyway, many Blacks are treated horribly in Arab communities across the US or even in the Middle East. Some Arabs refuse to speak to non-Arabs. This sin has not died.

@@shimmer4771 if this ( racism) happens in our ummah, then they ( racists) are not muslim. Period.

Egypt is in Africa brother Fahad. However I totally disagree with the speaker on what she is saying. Just because you have the story of Bilal رضي الله عنه and Hajar رضي الله عنها does not mean Majority of the stories in the Quran takes place in Africa. الله المستعان. Where is her proof for that and what scholars preceded her in her statements?
