I think the shadow adventures are great Especially the ones with orson welles gosh that voice was made for radio also he was great at acting, genius, genius.
Actually, Bob Kane and Bill Finger traced images and copied lines from Shadow pulps and changed character names. Finger admitted this when he was dying. Kane only said he was based on Zorro to avoid the plagiarism.

+wreathofpalmaria I meant comic books, Dynamite Comics has published a few different series now. They also do other pulp super hero books and "Masks" which has all of them working together. Those are the collected The Shadow editions: www.dynamite.com/htmlfiles/viewProduct.html?CAT=DF-The_Shadow_TPB
I got my name from Margo Lane. Always love hearing these old radio shows. Thank you.

It seems like we already have someone: Batman

This is a good ol day radio show. The best radio show there was.
Anyone think I could still get that deal on the tires?
"My old man's spare tires were actually only tires in the academic sense. They were round, they had once been made of rubber." (A Christmas Story)
I have extra coupons, if ya need the discount.
@@kevinpogue7294 here I am, laughing at your soundbyte 3 years later. U gotta love time travel!

A well written story, & Orson Wells as an amazing "Shadow". More violent & dark & scary than "The Batman"!
+Old-Man Parker did you know Batman was based on Zorro & The Shadow?
Also THE GREEN HORNET.
Actually, Bob Kane and Bill Finger traced images and copied lines from Shadow pulps and changed character names. Finger admitted this when he was dying. Kane only said he was based on Zorro to avoid the plagiarism.
Well.. Better than Alec Baldwin in the movie version to be sure
Really awesome show!
+Paul Bernard I keep finding episodes I had never heard before! i thought i had em all ha ha.

A Goodrich Silvertown Tires commercial? Wouldn't you know it, my adblock isn't working. Now I have to go buy those tires.

The Shadow actually scared someone into suicide? Dang, he's hardcore.
He had absolutely the best speaking voice of all time. No wonder he scared the hell out of America with THE WAR OF THE WORLDS.
The killer is played by Alan Reed, the prolific actor who voiced Fred Flintstone.
BARNEY!!! WHERE IS MY FRUTTY PEEBLES
And was the Skipper?
Search your feelings, judge. You know it to be true! The Shadow is real!
And Ray Collins played commissioner Weston. Ray Collins, as many may remember, was Lieutenant Tragg from the original Perry Mason tv show.
And, also in Citizen Kane, and, Touch of Evil.
The Shadow is cool
The sun is shining...

Didn't they write novels for this guy?
yeah they wrote dime novels about this character and there was a comic book series by D.C in the seventies
+Paul Bernard Was? There still is, from Dynamite Comics.
Rainer Koschnick If there is a place I can get the novels let me know.

ArKay The Alex Ross cover art for The Shadow comics put out by Dynamite are outstanding IMHO. Worth checking out.
Allen Reid Sr. aka "Fred Flintstone" as Nick Barrati.
Ah Margo can feel as the Shadow touches your firm young body?
Wow! The Shadow convinced the murderer to kill himself!
Well thanks, I hadn't listened to it yet. Note: You may want to preface future comments with SPOILER ALERT.
+Monkof Magnesia gee thanks... I never heard this one ha ha
+Mark Harmon ha ha.
maybe dont read the comments beforehand, whiner
@@electronbeing5473 you spelled winner wrong
I might be missing something the who the heck is the shadow is he invisible? I don't get it
He has psychic abilities. He can control what people see and hear.
Yes he clouds people’s minds
Too bad the Shadow was so wrong about cheating justice...
As good as the radio show is, the pulp novels are far superior.
Blue coal!
In this day and age, we desperately need someone like...The Shadow!
Imagine him in Congress!
